Thanks fellas - As the tiny minority owner of this team my hat is off to Steve. I have traditionally been his fantasy baseball anchor. We participate in too many leagues and I have to say this one is a breath of fresh air. I know people enjoy the money aspect of fantasy but for Steve and myself dedicating the time to a pride league is incredibly gratifying. Many, many thanks to all the managers taking pride in this pride league.

I echo the sentiments of Chico - my congratulations to the OG! It was a crazy year - but I am already looking forward to next season!
-
Congrats OGR on the title!!! Although different, I had a blast this season. Thanks to everyone who talked trades, battled in auctions, and kept this season alive. It was a strange one but 100% fun. Shout out to the commissioners and hope to see everyone back.
-
No problem NFB. Salary limitations end at season's end. There are two components to adjusting salaries. Salaries are automatically escalated for everyone who played in MLB. Second is arbitrage where teams are given $25 to tack on to lowball salaries. We will put these to some form of vote after the season ends. Don't want people to be worried about arbitrage while we have a phenomenal stretch battle.
-
My apologies for the late reply. Assuming I am parsing the information correctly, the $11 tax is a addition to your overall salary cap, correct?
I am okay with reducing those eligible for $2 to $1.
-
I like The Count’s suggestion. We need something to change the salaries but a slight adjustment is fair.
-
I am in favor of the change as described by Count Chocula. My reference to the "tax assessment" was the abitrage. I am in favor as well to taking it to a total assessment of $11 per team (vs $25), and reduction of salary inflation to $1. thanks for the feedback, let me know if we want to put it to a league vote, etc. thanks guys.........

I like this and would be in favor of limiting abitrage for this season.
-
In my opinion, we do need to make some adjustments for the COVID affected season. How about limiting the arbitrage to $11 - $1 for each of the other teams, and having only $1 per player salary increase?
-
It's a worthwhile discussion and your feedback is really needed. Does the C-19 marred season invalidate arbitrage? Let us know guys, you are the league.
-
Brother OG, I assume you're referring to arbitrage. For some this may be a new feature of dynasty. Check it out so you know how it works. To me, it's a road leveler. Salaries can get very out of whack compared to actual values. That's the hope we have on auction day. Buying value. It's what makes auctions, and we have them the entire season, great. But arbitrage, is the vehicle which says you don't get to keep that hot commodity we all missed forever at a buck. Everybody should chip in here.
-
Guys, it's been a nice distraction to have baseball the past couple months. Something I wanted to throw out there, I play in another Otto league. Since this shortened season is only just over 1/3 of a normal season, we voted on and passed the following 2 rule changes for next season: 1) eliminated $25 tax assessment per team. 2) reduced annual player salary inflation for MLB players from $2 to $1. MILB to remain at $1. Is there any interest out there to discuss this and possibly voting?

With 22 days left, I guess it’s time to kick her into high gear. Don’t hurt yourselves laughing. Got to say how thrilled I am to see everyone still engaged in spite of C-19 and the havoc wreaked on this season. Give yourselves a 🖐
-
I'd be interested in a middle infield or second base -upgrade-, if anyone has one available.
I'm also looking for a pitcher to go along with my young starting pitching core.
-
I would still like to acquire another starter. My trade block remains relatively the same.
I can be flexible with depth, prospects and money.
-
In case anyone is wondering about trade valuations and how players are valued in other Ottoneu leagues, check out the following link. Just for grins.

In addition to taking offers on Harper, I'd like to also move depth and/or prospects for future improvement. I can add money to facilitate a deal.
-
looking for some power stats …...most likely high salary players that wont be retained ………..I have a lot of cap and a few prospects...….Haniger, Yaz, etc

One week to try and overcome C-19 via the trade route. Play nice and thanks for turning this lemon into lemonade.
-
With what? Actually winning a waiver claim?
-
Way to go NFB!
-
Are there any other players the league would like me to research and start auctions for?
-
still won't replace Verlander. :(

That wasn't bid I was referring to.

Sniped? That $16 bid was more like a nuclear bomb.

You'd think I'd be used to getting sniped in auctions for young starting pitching.
-
I'm looking for some outfield depth, and can trade some infield depth. Trade block update to follow. Thank you.

Chico's Hero's reporting for duty even if Juan Soto isn't. This season is going to be nuts. Looking forward to it though.

I'm looking for pitching, and would like to use middle infield to fill the need.
-
Somebody needs to see bats and balls doing what they're supposed to.
-
That’s fair. I had targeted Kingery at the draft for his versatility mostly. More than I wanted to spend on him but I had the salary space so I decided to just claim him.
-
I'm not questioning how you value Kingery, I just thought he would last longer on the waiver wire.
-
What’s your point?
-
Wow! I did not see Scott Kingery claimed at $22.
-
I've added Trevor Story and Tom Murphy to my trade block. A need continues at second base, I'm always looking for more pitching and I wouldn't mind adding another foundational offensive piece.
I can package players (both on or off the trade block) or pie them off separately.
Thank you.
-
I updated my trade-block today. I'm looking to re-shape my team a bit. I'd like to add a strong bat, young pitching, and players with value that can be kept. I'm also bored because there's no baseball yet and would love to talk trades. :)
-
well, Korea (KBO) had their opening day yesterday ……. so hopefully a sign of the times? I saw where you can watch KBO games on ESPN. I'm not that desperate ………..but getting close!!
