We have unfortunately lost an owner. I'll be looking for someone to take over Team Stropey. Let me know if you have any candidates. Feel free to share the team link. We'll look at a potential draft date since I'm reasonably certain we each have multiple teams.
-
I always prefer waiting to draft closer to opening day as we have more info on rosters and injuries. Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings always the best.

I'm not trying to hurry anyone into a decision on a draft date, but my other dynasty league is talking about drafting on the weekend of March 27 - 28, and I'd prefer to not have any conflicts with two drafts.
-
I've updated my trade block, as my targets (likely a starting pitcher) and potential trade pieces have changed.
Let me know if any of you are still willing to deal.
Thank you.
-
Still have a few of you who haven't renewed your teams and need to make cuts. Please try to get these items taken care of so I have some hair left. Later!
-
I've updated my trade block, and I've sent out a couple of trade proposals to other owners.
Let me know if any of you still want to deal.
Thank you.
-
Time is a-wasting so I am about to send out trade possibilities for DeGrom to multiple teams at the same time. If you have no interest, please don't throw half eaten hot dogs or old shoes at me, just decline the offer. Thanks.

This is setting up as the smallest number of draft moves I've ever made. Why do I think this is good?
-
I'm still looking at deals that mirror the Alvarez deal, but may also be looking for starting pitching, also.
I can also assume money in deals.
-
It was APBA baseball for me. Had a note book that I kept stats and standings in as the entire 162 game season was replayed manually. (That was a lot of hours) Yes Ottoneu makes things easier and you get to meet some cool people. Welcome Mulligan.

Greetings guys (no ladies?). Thanks for the welcomes. Many years ago the weekly Sporting News stats, a pencil, and 13 column accounting pad were my tools of fantasy BB. Thankfully no more. I think this is my 5th year on Ottoneu. Before that I was a long time member of a small boutique site which is about to go the way of the Nash Rambler. I'm looking forward to the league and within a week or so will be making proposals to possibly (not probably) trading DeGrom to the highest bidder. Arrivederci

Somewhat informal:
I'm hoping to consolidate some prospect depth, along with potentially a higher-priced starting pitcher.
As always, I am open to any fair trade proposals.
-
Welcome to the League Mulligan! We have an active group of friendly & helpful owners and like Chico - I am always ready to talk deals!
-
Welcome to the league Mulligan, it's a ton of fun and a good group to play with. Now who wants to make a trade? ;)
-
Mully ......... welcome to the league! Good group of guys to compete with. Steve (OGR)

Good news guys. We have a new owner! When you have a moment introduce yourself to Mulligan. Welcome aboard man.
-
Can you believe it's January? Keeper deadline and renewal coming up. Time for me to really pick it up in owner search. Transactions still available until the January 31 deadline. Given last year's shortened and wild season, some of our owners may still have lots of questions. I know I still do. So help out where you can, with a new owner being a priority. Happy New Year everyone. It won't be long before the mound and the plate get active. Time for final keeper plans, or last minute trade.
-
Thank you for the transparency and all.pf the hard work, Poppy.
I'm certainly open to talk trade, if anyone else is.
-
Impressive job Poppy! Thanks for all your hard work - and for lighting up the hot stove league!
-
IT IS FINISHED! Pease feelfree to check salaries, but I think I caught all the mistakes when I made them. Just to let everyone know, newbies and vets, hot stove talks are now open. You are free to cut or trade up until rosters lock on January 31st. There are no caps or limits in place during this period. It's your "get wild" period. Have a great time.
-
OK, that makes sense and wow, thank you so much for all the extra work. That'll be a pretty large undertaking. Thanks for the extra work.
-
@Chico's Heroes, it was just $11. Everyone is in and Arbitrage allocations have been made. I'll probably start the time in service adjustments tomorrow.
-
Sorry, I'm slow. So do we need to go ahead and allocate all $25 or are we still only supposed to do $11.
-
Poppy, ditto to what Full said. This process will be a lot of work. Thanks for your effort.

Thanks for your leadership and hard work Poppy! This has been a crazy year!
-
In the name of transparency, I've been in touch with support regarding arbitration dollars. No one considered that unless the full $25 is allocated, nothing gets allocated. I will attempt to record all the information from the arbitration page and apply it manually at the same time adjustments are made for time in service. Still looking for one new owner. Hot stove warming up.
-
This is one of the reasons I chose Ottoneu. Helps make fantasy baseball more year round. Keeps you tuned in. I'm excited to see how it plays out.
-
If anyone has a question on arbitrage, please feel free to reach out to one of the commishes. I know this is a new process for many of you, but once you go into arbitrage, it becomes pretty self-explanatory.
-
Just a reminder. Arbitrage ends on the 14th. You should increase one player on each team by $1. Automatic increases for time in service will be adjusting following that.
-
If you have someone you think might have some interest, you can reach out or provide one of the commishes their info. Best if you make initial contact so they know we’ll be checking in with them. I’ll be back home this weekend and can get back into the swing. Keep up the good work guys.
-
Thank you for the back-and-forth in trade talks, Sleepy G.
I have a friend with a considerable amount of dynasty experience that that may have some interest in filling that owner spot.
Again, thank you for the great introductory season, everyone. I really enjoyed getting used to a new way to play fantasy baseball.
-
One other matter, we will be losing one of our stalwarts. Sleepy G is leaving us, but has already handled the team’s arbitration requirement. We will miss him. If you have someone interested it would be great to fill the spot quickly. See you down the road Sleepy!
-
So in reviewing the league’s wishes, looks like we’ll be reducing arbitration dollars to $11 with $1 to each team. The automatic increases will have to be adjusted manually, reducing each player by $1. I think the vote was all but one team voting for the change. That would have been Poppy’s Ugly Sox. So arbitration is open. Be sure to add an increase of $1 to someone in each team and when I get home from holiday, I’ll start working on corrections.
-
I vote to reduce salary inflation to $1 and $0. I vote to reduce arbitration from $25 to $11
-
I vote to reduce salary inflation to $1 and $0. I vote to reduce arb $$ from $25 to $11
-
Guys .......... just a heads up...you probably noticed the system already took a $2 per (mlb) player increase to your roster. if we get a majority and go with reduced increases, it is my understanding that salaries can be manually adjusted by the commissioner(s). Again just an FYI.

I also want to let everyone know that I appreciate letting me latch onto this league so late in the offseason.
It took me a good portion of the short season to get used to waiver etiquette and how to work with roster limitations, and I am definitely looking forward to 2021.
-
I vote to reduce the raises to $1 and $0, and for the arbitration amount to be reduced to $11 from $25.

You can cast your votes here or send them to both commissioners.
-
I vote yes on both 1 & 2 ...
-
You should vote to retain allocation rules as stated, or permit a reduction in the allocation dollars from 25 to 11. I hope I've made this clear and phrased them as previously discussed. Please toss any questions you have here on the message board. Please, everyone participate. It's your league.
-
Item two is a proposal to decrease the amount of arbitration dollars allocated per team, from $25 to $11. League rules regarding arbitration state; Allocations
a. The allocation system gives a $25 budget to each team in the league.
b. The team must allocate this budget towards players on other teams.
c. Each team must allocate at least one dollar to every other team, and no team can allocate more than $3 to any other team.
The remaining portion of the rule has no effect on the issue at hand.
-
The suggestion is to decrease this to $1 and zero. You should vote for proposal one, rules as stated, or proposal two which is the reduction to $1/0.
-
This may take several posts, so please bear with me. The first item on the table is the automatic salary increase applied to anyone who appeared in a major league game., which reads as follows; Rules for salary increases are as follows:
i. Players who have played in at least one MLB regular season game in the past 2 MLB seasons will have their salary increase by $2.
ii. All other players will have their salary increase by $1.
-
I can’t add much that hasn’t been said. Congratulations OGsR! I had no idea what I was in for when I agreed to assume the Commish position. I’m fortunate to have had some good owners step up and make the season a memorable one for the right reasons. Enjoy the title OGs. We’ll be back in a day or two to handle salary increases. Thanks all!
-
thanks guys..... nothing like having bragging rights with 11 total strangers!! :) actually ........ this is a great league and I enjoy the camaraderie and the connection with you guys. Fantasy baseball was good medicine at a time when we all needing the distraction. thanks again and i look forward to next season. ps.....arb starts Oct 15, so I think we will need to get a vote in on salary increase and arb limits.
