No problem. I was away and didn’t catch it until this PM. Keep up the great work guys. And you sniped me again OGR.
-
As the other team involved in this trade I fully support cancelling it, we were discussing another version of the deal when this happened.

all good …….. mistakes happen, shouldn't be a problem to cancel it out.

League mates :
Full disclosure.
I accidentally accepted an old trade proposal, but have contacted the commissioner to hopefully have it reversed.
Thank you.
-
NFB, I am sorry I haven't responded, but it looks like you got it.
-
Dudes, Is private messaging the best way to negotiate trades between owners?
-
I am as ready as I will ever be - just hope we get some real players on the field soon!
-
Countdown minus 3 1/2 hours.
-
Okay you crazy Otto’s. Today is the day we really prep for that infamous “PLAY BALL”. See you at the draft at 7 PM. Hope everyone is healthy and maintaining some sense of sanity. From what I’m seeing, Mr. Threepeat is going to be elusive.
-
Please feel free to ask questions, send me reminders, those help a ton. Now I have to figure out the draft from the Commish end. Looking forward to a great season. Stay healthy.
-
Thank you guys for getting your cuts completed. Draft is Next Saturday, April 4th at 7:00 PM, Eastern. You can go in and the layout of the draft room. You’ll find it somewhat different than other platforms. One of the best ways for me is to put everyone I’m interested in into my watchlist. In the draft room you can import your watch list and you’re set. Saves me personally a ton of time, plus I don’t leave my hot prospects in my notebook, trying to remember who that guy was I loved.
-
Is the auction draft for our league at 7pm Eastern or 4pm Eastern on April 4th? The league webpage shows 4pm ...
-
Steve Andersen …….. welcome to the league. To answer your question, trades are locked down right now (since we haven't yet drafted), trades will be opened back up after our draft and until the season up to the trade deadline which was original July 31st, which is be subject to change …..based on when the season starts. Hope that helps...… good luck this season.

Can trades be made in our league between now and the draft?
-
Welcome to the league!!!! I can't wait for baseball to start again. We will get there eventually. I'm pretty free right now so drafting on the 4th at 7 will work for me.
-
Welcome to our new owners and looking forward to a great 3rd season. The goal this season will be to not only build a dynasty ….but to also knock-off Poppy …… our 2 time defending champion!! Can't wait for baseball!! I am good anytime for the draft...…..

Hallelujah! We have a full slate of owners. Welcome aboard to our newbs and thanks to everyone who assisted in the effort. Now one quick question, does 7:00 work okay on Saturday the 4th? I’m psyched or psycho to move on from Covid 19. Thank you all, my week has been made.
-
**"Is a Saturday..." Sorry.
I posted the league opening to my timeline.
Hopefully, you are able to close the deal with that prospective owner.
-
I'm fine with delaying the draft.
Is a Saturday afternoon the only other time the other fellow owners would be available to draft?
-
Okay, we are delaying our draft. We are extremely close to adding our final owner. Someone has said yes but is a total newbie. Needs a chance to make sure he’s comfortable with Otto. I would have an ice cold Corona but the doctor says no. Won’t consider a Heinie either. So it’s back to work here to close this owner. Don’t stop talking the spot up until we’re finalized.
-
I'm fine with waiting on our draft if that's what the league wants. We should try to decide today though if we are going to postpone the draft.
-
Hey guys …...…….I agree with Poppy ……… the juice is worth the squeeze with Otto and it has proven to be a nice outlet from thr world so let's support and keep it alive. unfortunately I think it will be a few more months before baseball starts so let's try and source another owner …...…. stay safe guys. I’m still holding out hope we can add an owner before draft. But let’s plan ahead. Should we postpone? If we were full I’d say move ahead. If we aren’t, what do you say? This is a good league, with involved owners. Reach out to some people and let’s get this done. If it makes a difference, I’m willing to take over Stropey and a newbie can defend the title. Talk it up guys and let’s be ready for some baseball.
-
Welcome aboard Steve. I think you'll find this bunch of owners has grown and matured with some pretty sharp dudes. I'm going to do my best at a three-peat, but my odds keep heading in the wrong direction. Yeehaw! Keep it growing.
-
Fellow league members,
Greetings.
I just assumed the "Carpenter" team.
I'm looking to this season, as soon as it gets started!
-
I think a change in the scoring categories would be a positive step - but not if it is too much work for the Commish. And while I understand Sleepy G's position, I would prefer keeping our existing teams but giving us a chance to revisit our Keeper decisions - and allow us to make changes of no more than 5 players (either making them Keepers or dropping them based on the new categories). ~ Barry
-
@Second City Not difficult, simply requires a switch to a different scoring method.
I don't think roster size is a variable, but I could be wrong, I'm wrong far more than I'm right. So we keep reaching out.
-
I am good with 10 teams, and also keeping the current scoring. if we ever do change scoring... ideally we should decide a season in advance (if that's possible?) as our current rosters (keepers) are built around our 4x4 scoring, more specifically....we don't typically hold on to closers (for saves) or SB guys .....

What if the only changes we made this year were to the number of teams and then next season we all keep a few MLB guys and a few MiLB players. The rest go into the draft and we kinda start from scratch but not completely?
-
Then I'm fine with leaving the categories as is, I wasn't aware that changing was so difficult.
-
Changing the categories changes the entire pricing structure of the league. In my opinion at that point we might as well just start over from scratch.

Most of the leagues I've been in have been 10 team leagues. Makes the auction/draft for keeper leagues like this one a little more interesting.
-
I also like the idea of adding SBs and Saves, especially if we go to 10 teams.
-
I agree that it will be difficult to expand back to 12 teams, but if we can't fill the two vacant team I don't see what other choice we have but to go to 10 teams. I'm actually fine with it just being a 10-team league indefinitely if that's what it comes to.
-
I don't think my opinion should matter as much as most, since I've been in the league for only a few days now, but my vote would be for reducing teams. I also think if we decide to do that it'll be very difficult to ever go back to 12. So are we OK with this being a 10 team league going forward?
-
Thanks for the input Sleepy G. The downside is how do you then bring it back up to a 12 team league. It is a good option for this season.
-
I would prefer to reduce the number of teams.

Thanks Count. I certainly think that's doable. How about the ret of you?
-
if we decide to change scoring options - will we have a chance to revisit our keeper decisions? If we add SB's or Saves, I would make different decisions - but I am open to changing
-
Okay guys, before it gets totally away from us, I've set the draft day at March 22nd at 4:00PM Eastern. Thanks Sleepy G for your efforts in adding new owners. Does anyone have a preference as to change of scoring versus reducing league size? Need some feedback you goofy fantasy baseball addicts. Later, Wayne

One of the guys I play with in another league is looking to start up a new $20 FGPts league through a slow draft. He will be considering non-standard rules (i.e. $0 MiLB, arb coupons, salary floor, etc.) once the league fills. Please let me know if you are interested and I can pass along contact info.

@Sleepy G. I’ve had the spots on the Ottoneu board for a while. Also got the same response from Niv. To keep it all together I might consider offering up my team and taking Stropey. Ugh!
-
Someone could pick up Magic Carpet Ride, but I think SleepyG is right, I doubt anyone would pick up Stropey with the other options out there. Best bet to get Stropey picked up is to reach out to a friend who's looking for a league.
-
I just posted the teams on the 'owners wanted' channel in the ottoneu Slack. I also asked about contraction in the general channel and Niv quickly responded that he could help out if we wanted to contract.

I will be happy to look into that option, but I think limits are within Otto. Please feel free to check as will I. There are not as many owners looking for the Classic 4x4. If the league was willing, we could certainly look at that option. Me, I just love the game and the competition. It's your league and we can work on whatever we need to make it fun.
-
Definitely worth considering in my opinion. 'Stropey' in particular doesn't have many real assets. Although going to a ten or eleven team league may change people's keep/cut decisions.

Has there been any talk about making this league a 10 team league instead of 12? We could release all the players from the "dead" teams and just add them to the auction. Not the best solution but it's an option.
-
Welcome aboard Chico! Happy to have you with us. And BTW, I have this bridge...
-
Welcome to the league Chico - it's a fun group of guys. Competitive but not cutthroat ... buy low, sell high is my advice ha ha
-
Hey everyone, new guy here. Looking forward to getting the season started. Any tips? :)
