This is definitely a league that keeps up with things- Might goes on auction less than an hour after he hits two bombs off Cole!

Definitely strange, and I'm at a loss for what's going on. I emailed Niv and CC'd you on it.

I can bid on the other auctions but I cannot start my own. If my roster is invalid then I probably wont be able to win the other auctions

Tony, I'm not sure why but your team is marked as if it were an illegal roster. I will email Niv to look into it. Hang tight for now.

Since it looks like ottoneu didn't send a reminder email, posting here to remind you all that we're drafting in ~ 12 hours. Please be on time-ish and we'll get things kicked off as spring training just gets underway, maybe one of your players can tear his meniscus too. See you then.

Not a problem. Using recent years' drafts as a reasonable guideline, I'd suggest 2.5 hours as a best guess.

Hey- sorry, I am an idiot and never keep track of these things- how long do we expect the draft to last? I know I can bail early but just wondering

I'll admit it, Miguel, you got me. The push notification on my phone only showed "I really wish we didn't move it" and I had all the expletives.

I really wish we didn't move it.
I like the 15.
The sun, the stars, and everything align perfectly for me when it's a Saturday and the 15th of the month arrives on it.
I achieve the perfect mental state and I do better at everything on such days.
I am just fucking with you, guys. See you at auction :)
-
Okay, the 16th it is. Thanks, everyone, for the timely responses. Also: note that participation in the auction draft requires nomination. If you want a shot at those sweet end of draft bargains, you need to be there from the beginning nominating each turn. Of course, with the early draft and well established league, you can eschew the draft for adding/dropping in season via 48 hour auction.

The 16th is better for me as well.
-
Sunday Feb16 works for the Mashers.
-
I'm good either day as well.
-
Iām good either day that weekend.
-
Either day should work for me. Sunday would be fine.
-
As I am more or less restricted to $1 bids, I am indifferent to the draft date. Might swoop in and make picks at the end. Might just handle it via waivers slowly through March/April.
-
I am good with either date
-
Let's put it to the assembled as: anyone particularly inconvenienced by moving the draft to Sunday (same time)? If not, we should do so. Aside: I believe the group now is largely all on ET and CT. Do we have anyone in the Mountain or Pacific times zones that we need to be aware of for scheduling purposes?

Any chance we could move the draft to that Sunday the 16th instead? Not sure I can make that Saturday work.

Everyone is now renewed for 2020. You have less than six hours to make any final cuts. I'll reiterate that it's worth your while to familiarize yourself with the auction draft software and pre-load your watchlist, or some portion of it, into the queue. We'll go dark for a couple weeks and then get things kicked off right around the start of ST. Reach out with questions via the various mechanisms as needed.

3) The auction draft is scheduled for Saturday Feb 15 at 1:30pm ET. Once we pass the keeper deadline you will see a link for the draft room open up on the Firehouse Roto menu bar. Have a look around, set your queue, get familiar with where the buttons for bidding and nominating are, that sort of thing.

2) THREE of you have yet to settle up your ottoneu league fee for 2020. You can find the link for that on the Dashboard. If you're on a mobile you may need to scroll to the right in your browser to see the "Extend your dynasty" link, which is in the last column of the table "PAID THROUGH". If you don't settle this up by midnight the team will be marked as expired and anyone can claim it; I do not control this and there's nothing I can do to extend the deadline.

1) You will want to have your roster legal (able to field 40 players for $400) by midnight. If it isn't, you won't be able to participate at the auction draft. Further on out, in case you think you have some crazy tail strategy cooked up, you won't be able to set lineups in season.

This has been a really great and active offseason for Firehouse Roto; really exceptional job by you all. We're less than 24 hours out from the keeper deadline, and so a few housekeeping notes:

This probably just solely a concern of mine, but the Final Feb week, mainly (2/22-2/25) is peak Mardi Gras and I *could be* busy so yeah if we can avoid it, thanks

I was trying to avoid it, but am going to tentatively schedule for Valentine's Day weekend. We can, with enough ambition, try to knock this out ahead of the Super Bowl; otherwise, we're looking at the last weekend of the month on Leap Day after a week's worth of spring games.

That weekend does not work for me (neither does feb 8/9). I am open the others though.
-
Thanks, everyone, for your feedback. I've set the draft for Saturday, 2/22, @ 1:30pm ET. If anyone has a conflict, let me know and we'll pick something else. It happens to be thee first day of both Grapefruit and Cactus league games, so we'll be ahead of those results (as intended).

I can draft whenever but honestly prefer to wait til at least the middle/end of February...there are some weekends I am not available due to prior commitments, so the earlier we figure out a date the better
-
An early (February) auction is fine with me. I'd prefer a weekend day/evening as well. The February weekend dates are: (Fri, Sat, Sun: 1/31, 2/1, 2/2 {SB Sunday], ...2/7, 2/8, 2/9, ...2/14 {V-Day}, 2/15, 2/16,... 2/21, 2/22, 2/23...2/28, 2/29 (Leap Day/Year), 3/1...Thus, if the majority are looking for a February auction, maybe we can put some of these dates to a vote. Whatever you all think.
-
Early is fine with me too. I'd prefer a weekend day if possible.
-
My only preference for an auction is it not be on a Monday night, but other than that I should be good whenever.
-
I'm in for drafting early

I vote for an early auction as well.

The earlier the better on draft date
-
Tony (and anyone else who could use it) - You need to make the cuts; there's a submenu "Cut Players" available on your Team menu. Use that.

I am ready to draft now! As long as it's not on st Patrick's day again this year š. Also, I don't remember: do I need to go in and drop all the people I'm not keeping or does the roster organizer handle that?

2) We need to pick a date for the auction draft. I've advocated for an early distribution coinciding with when pitchers and catchers report (~2 weeks after the keeper deadline), but we usually opt for a traditional March draft. Please post up or contact me directly to advise on availability or lack thereof and preference as you like it. Recent auction drafts have taken, roughly, 2.5 hours and are often held on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon (Eastern time).
