As commissioner I should probably say I propose to play by all of Niv's rules and suggestions including the regular arbitration process in November, unless anyone wants to propose and vote on any amendments that could be supported by league agreement.

An Imaginary Hammers owner needs to know his fake team's underlying health conditions, Briggs...

The real question is which Imaginary team has the most players opt-out?

Small Sample Size Factoid: a 7 game losing streak in this 60 game season is equivalent to losing 19 in a row in a 162 game season! #letsgobucs
-
Heyyy...I resemble that remark!
-
Yeah. Even Mateo has a shot in a short season.
-
Small sample madness, here we come!
-
Full limits! May Donald Fehr rest in peace.
-
Given how much Covid-19 infection is likely to take place, it'll take a lucky team to reach even these lower limits.

Fuck prorating. I demand my full limits!
-
What the heck is a baseball?
-
(From our ottoneu overlord, the right honorable Niv Shah, who posted today on the ottoneu community board): Given the 60-game season, the following caps will be implemented: Games played: 60; OF Games played: 300; Max IP: 560 IP; Min IP: 390 IP. This is an approximate pro-rating of the full season numbers.

So, July 24th! Hope we can get this "season" in, but I'm still a little skeptical.
-
Well, Fister for Furbush was certainly the funniest of the Mariners' bad trades over the years...

But on a lighter note I miss hearing the phrase, "Furbush is warmed up and ready to go, if needed."
-
Owners dont want to spend a single dollar on players that most likely ever make them money on a mlb roster.
-
I don't believe I will ever understand the logic behind that abbreviated draft. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.
-
Yeah... I mean, holding only a 5-round draft and capping bonuses at $20k after that sure isn't going to help much for future talent.
-
Looking a lot like a 648 game/500 IP max kind of season...if MLB can even find its way to &/or through that. Sigh. Certainly many more important things in the world; perhaps I should be grateful if 2020 baseball happens at all. Still, I can't help feeling that this course of events will escalate a downward spiral that diminishes the future MLB.

Christian Yelich * 1944 / 130: 1495 R, 656 HR, .429 OBP, .671 SLG . . . Dellin Betances * 1500 / 0.2: 4500 K, 0.00 HR/9, 0.00 ERA, 0.00 WHIP . . . Anyone got that beat?
-
I'll take Steve Nebraska for both.
-
Also the obligatory "fix your rosters, dudes"
-
In lieu of a season this year, let's each pick one hitter and one pitcher and extrapolate their stats from last year to 1944 games and 1500 IP. I'm gonna use Yelich and Betances.
-
(I don't think that's allowed, though...)
-
Oh if you wanna pay it back in 2021, absolutely. No interest loan?
-
Rime, can I borrow your $100 of cap space to wager with Cutch?
-
Funny...Noah S. was on waivers for $12 just a few days ago, and now he's auctioned away at $14...

Soon to have $100 of cap space, and nothing good to do with it.
-
Depends on if alcohol will be present for this wiffleball game - in which case Miguel Cabrera could be enough of a wildcard to make it worth watching. Though Pujols would be a buzzkill.
-
The baseball equivalent of Tiger/Mickelson match play with Brady/Manning is 2 over the hill superstars -- so, Albert Pujols and Miguel Cabrera playing wiffleball home run derby with Karl Malone and Dirk Nowitzki. Would you watch that? I wouldn't.
-
Yeah, I can't wait until the Yankees vs. Dodgers 'made for TV'/match play "World Series"...that's enough, right?

I’ll drop a $100.00 that’s games will be played..: any takers Roar?
-
anyone want to wager if we actually have a season?
-
So when are we drafting our KBO fantasy league?
-
Doin' alright here, thanks for checking in! Yeah, it's gonna be super weird small samples if we get a 50-game season or something, but that could be an interesting challenge.
-
Seems like a little news started leaking out yesterday about what a season might look like if more pressing matters are largely settled. A lot of qualifiers, but perhaps there's some room for optimism after all. I mean if Manny Ramirez can land a CPBL gig in 2020, anything is possible, right? Hope all of you and yours are staying healthy and strong, amigos.
-
I did convince myself! haha - maybe on Ks - hmm... good question!
-
Lol good job convincing someone. Thanks for the capsule though, he sounds intriguing to keep in mind. May strike out too much?
-
I think I talked myself into keeping Huff! haha... hope all is well w/ everyone!
-
Power: Rutschman, Bart, Huff (60)
Rutschman’s power improved during each of his three years with the Beavers, which concluded with a 17-homer junior season.
Bart huge pull-side power -- the product of bat speed, strength and leverage in his 6-foot-3 frame -- and clubbed 16 dingers.
Huff, who hit 28 homers during a breakout 2018 campaign, may have more raw power than any catching prospect and generates high-end exit velocities using a combination of physical strength and explosive bat speed.
-
Sam Huff - 28 bombs (Major Power) Catcher of the Future in Rangers organization up for sale... any takers in a weak position? holla atcha boy! 2021 is the ETA @ 2$ could be a steal.
-
by the time the season starts, they will be fully recovered!!!

Watch out, Max and JV...

Not Thor too! I believe it's time to trigger a little-known rule that if Opening Day doesn't happen, we reset the league to before the draft. Any problems with that?

Yeah I believe Darvish had less than one walk per start in the second half last year.
-
as we await for normalcy and baseball... give me an interesting stat...
here is an interesting stat from September 2019... I would expect Cole, Verlander, Max... but... eRod... Lynn... Darvish (hmm)
K-BB% leaders Sept 2019 (min 25 IP)
Cole 44.1% 42 IP
Darvish 42.9% 26.1 IP
