This is fantasy baseball Outer Limts.
-
Looks like we have a bit more time before we get going this season. Enough for someone like Severino to get re-auctioned and cut again. Also, weird thing going on where currently injured guys will be missing a smaller portion of the season than we thought. But currently suspended guys will be missing a greater one. Huh.
-
I've got Cutch's guy too. Just gotta acquire Buehler for the trifecta...
-
Didn't want to stop you from adding to Team Justin! Although I suppose this means I should change my team name now...
-
Smoak & Mirrors didn't want his team namesake? I guess I have a third name namesake on my squad, to go with Mr. Verlander and Mr. Turner.

...since I drafted Houser, he will proceed to have a 5.00 ERA in the first two months!
-
In 2019, only four MLB starting pitchers met the following criteria: >100 IP, >25.0 K%, >50.0 GB%, <3.75 ERA. Those pitchers? Luis Castillo, Stephen Strasburg, Sonny Gray and *Adrian Houser*
-
Just out here trading good assets for players I could've kept. Non-keeper's regret!
-
Does anyone want a Leody Taveras?
-
German is available for a very decent price! Very cost-effective SP @$7 and will be back start of June... holla if interested... first come, first serve!
-
Pretty Ricky's gonna ball out.
-
You just watch as Ricky Rick gets out of the AL East and...is decent again.

Ok, looks like we wrapped up! Congrats to Mr. Irrelevant, former Cy Young winner Porcello. You can now cut players, propose trades including loans, start 48-hour auctions, all that good stuff!
-
also, will the Pirates win a game this year or at least this spring?!
-
thank goodness ... so I stooped to a whole new low and bet some $ on FanDuel *SPRING* baseball... whats the number to that hotline again, I need help!
-
The season starts tomorrow, boys. What a great feeling.
-
Yeah. Agreed. It would be nice to have one Get Out of Jail Free card before the draft. We would all benefit from time to time.

I could see proposing a rule for future years, but wouldn't want to allow a change 3 days before the draft we've been preparing for unless it was unanimous. Maybe something like "each team who gets their cuts in on time (1/31) can make one additional free cut up to 7 days before the draft". But yeah as St. N says, there are injuries after the draft too.
-
Well at least I inspired a conversation
-
Party poopers.
(I took this as a pretty clearly humorous motion by the bye.)
-
I agree 100% w/ Jimmy Jacks on this one...
-
Hmm. Seems to me the meaning of 'keeper deadline' is quite clear: you're keeping the potential reward *and* risk. And why should the cost of an injury before draft day be less than one after draft day? Nah.

I second Walker's proposal 100%. If I could agree more than 100%, I would. But I cannot because that would be mathematically impossible.
-
I propose another round of cuts before draft day so we can shed the salaries of player who suffer season ending injuries in Spring Training. Tongue only sorta in cheek.
-
I'm ready to party.
-
Yeah counting Walker that looks like 11 people for March 1 at 7pm ET. At least 2 people have problems every other time.
I think that sounds like a go.
-
You have to cut and paste the draft scheduling link, as for some reason it won't show as hypertext even on a computer.

Link for draft won't work from my phone but I'm flexible.
-
And it's looking like draft time is converging on 7pm ET Sunday March 1st
-
Sweet, I'm seeing: (1) sounds like people are fine with cutting the trade review to 24h, and (2) 8 of 12 have already filled out the draft poll!
-
Sorry the board cut my line breaks there. The link to the draft poll is: https://www.when2meet.com/?8778138-JwZoS
-
All right all, poll for draft times here: https://www.when2meet.com/?8778138-JwZoS
Sign in with a name and drag around when you're available to START the draft. It's a big range including middle of the day on work days, but i couldn't set different times for weekends/weekdays. I set the start times from 9am to 10pm ET, but feel free to reject a whole set of times based on your local schedule as I'm not sure where everyone is distributed (and I have a feeling Justin won't like a 7am MT draft)
-
Agreed.
-
Opening Day is an early Thursday, March 26th, so we should try to get this done by Sunday, March 22nd.

Any word on the Draft? March is filling up quickly on me.
-
shorter window is better - 24 hours is perfect.
-
I prefer a shorter window as well
-
I'm okay with the change.

Iām fine with it.
-
Let me ask it this way: Does anyone have a concern about changing the trade review time to 24 hours? As Inkosi says, we've rarely had any controversy at all over a trade, they seem to be made in good faith.
-
Y'know, I'd argue that it did. Injury hang-ups/research, prospect evaluations, and other assorted re-haggling can all happen out in the public eye thanks to Twitter and "sources". Whereas most of that business takes place behind the scenes here before anyone clicks accept or reject on a trade. Once the Betts deal was officially confirmed by the teams themselves, it went through lickety-split.
-
The system automatically let our new owner do one round of penalty-free cuts, so I told him to just go for it. Then I noticed in Commish Tools there's a little check box next to each team called "P-F Cuts" that I probably could have just checked for each of our latecomers, rather than manually removing and adjusting the cap penalty to zero for every player. Hah, live and learn.
-
The Betts trade didn't get through in 24 hours though. ;)
-
Nice work! 4/28 for me, Commish. And I'm obviously all about that 24 hour life. I don't think I saw a single vote against a trade last season so we might as well make trading a more teue-to-life experience and minimize the wait time.
-
I can't draft on 3/28 because I just spent $140 on a ticket to see this little band called Rage Against the Machine. :-O
-
Ok, lil Jon is in and made his cuts! I believe we are finally set with fixed owners and rosters from here til the auction draft! Next 2 orders of business: Keith, can you make us a poll for draft date/time? and discussion of the proposal to change the trade review from 48 hours to 24: thoughts?
