Trade Deadline is quickly approaching. Still basically any of my Starting Pitchers are available for trade.

I have too many minor leaguers. Is anybody interested in prospects like Casey Mize, Johnny India, Corey Ray, Brent Rooker, Yordan Alvarez, Triston McKenzie, or Clint Frazier? Not looking to give them away, but I'm not looking for more than they are worth. Mainly looking for SP or C with 2019 keeper value.

I know it is at low A ball, but Joey Bart has hit 9 HRs and 10 doubles in 26 games so far. 6'3", 225, impressive, powerful swing, and he is a catcher. If he batted LH, he would already be a top 20 prospect.
-
Great managing of the Nimrods yesterday. I got more points out of my bench position players than my active players AND more points from my bench pitchers than my active pitchers.

I'm doing something wrong. I don't have a chance this year and not feeling good about next year. Hoping to start from scratch.

Nice pick up in Trevor Larnach. I just watched about an hour of video on him, and he looks like a guy who could move up quickly for the Twins. Nice LH swing, impressive power, makes contact, draws walks, hit great with wood bats in Cape Cod. He might never be a Jesus Sanchez level talent, but he will definitely be on top prospect lists by this fall. Winnetka, and the Twins, got a good prospect for cheap.
-
I have a hard time giving up a team. I'm limiting myself to four teams "only". I really like this game and this website. To be honest, I would be willing to pay a lot more.
-
"A lot" seemed like a nice vague term no one would check into. Look at it this way--with the prices going up, I may be setting a record that will never be broken.
-
Philly you call being in 17 leagues a lot?
-
Lets put the debate to rest. I buy it as a legit trade. I trust that all those players will still be on his team going in to next years draft.
-
Also, certainly not my intent to ruin the league.

Spa, I understood your issue with the initial trade. I think I gave away less and got more out of this one. After the public chastising I received from you and the other "veterans", I can't say that I was overly excited to deal with you at the time. Frankly, I found the proposal/quick withdrawal trend tiresome.

Many of us have been in this league 5 or 6 years, and extremely unfair trades are going to drive veteran owners away. I guarantee we will lose good team owners if this keeps up. We don't want to ruin what has been a really good league.
-
BTBL, I made an offer for Bauer on his own, and you did not even send a counter offer. You were throwing him in as an afterthought to Team Name for pennies on the dollar. Makes it seem like collusion.
-
Thanks for explaining, BTBW, but I'm in a lot of leagues and haven't seen trades comparable to this one strewn anywhere. I'm sure you acted in good faith, but your enthusiasm for Sanchez and Honeywell was used to fleece you. Nevertheless, I learned long ago that you can't reason with someone who has had a personal experience with Jesus. BTW personally I prefer UFC to WTF..
-
WTF is wrong with you people? Trades like this are strewn all across the Otto trade thread. How hard is it to understand that I want Honeywell and Sanchez on my team and that this is what it took to make it happen. I got 3 good prospects (2 that I specifically coveted) in return. Don't sleep on Jesus Sanchez. I watch him play regularly, and believe he will rise in rankings very soon.

I'm on the veto side also. This is what collusion looks like. If it isn't actual collusion, it may as well be.
-
I'm with Philly and Winnetka. Vetoed, again.
-
I agree with Winnetka's assessment that it's another senseless trade that can't be distinguished from collusion, but I think the harsh words should not be directed at the owner who doesn't know what he's doing, but at the one who does.
-
Another trade, another veto. BTBL, did you even make an attempt at trading with other owners? I know you received a lot better offers than what is posted. What is the hurry in dumping your star players for players that most owners would cut? The only player that you are receiving that has value is Riley. So either you are corrupt and colluding, or just that stupid. Honeywell has very little value, he won't contribute till 2020. Jesus Sanchez is a 30% class A prospect.
-
If anybody is interested in prospects, I have the 2018 #1 draft pick (Mize), #2 pick (Bart), #3 pick (Bohm), & #5 pick (India) available for trades. I also have interesting prospects Carter Kieboom, Triston McKenzie, & MacKenzie Gore on the trade block.

I spent more time today trying to figure out Cano's value... I think he has more than $12 value next year, but who knows for sure? Could be a $25 asset. I wish the bidding for him waited until August.
-
Very much like Winnetka Cubs are now.
-
I'm getting really tired of the Cubs management. They have drafted poorly the last two drafts, been a disaster in free agency and trades, in a 3-4 short years they will be an aging, financially bloated organization again.
-
Reports on Darvish are that he is lucky to "only" have an elbow impingement, and not a UCL tear. I had an impingement, and it was agonizing - couldn't turn a doorknob. The surgery was no joke. If Darvish's impingement is anything close to that, he won't pitch again this year.

Jake Bauers, this year's Rhys Hoskins/Cody Bellinger, is on the trade block. I need pitching and MI (with 2019 keeper value - I'm not likely to win this year) more than OF and 1B.

How would you ever know whether there is collusion, other than extreme lopsidedness of a trade? At some point a trade can be so lopsided that it doesn't matter.
-
I think the main thing here is what you believe the "veto" should be used for. If you believe the veto is there to keep uneven trades from happening then by all means veto it, but if you believe the veto is just to keep collusion from happening then this trade shouldn't be vetoed. I personally am not going to veto the trade because the only reason I would want to veto it is because it gives Team Name a better chance of beating me.
-
Well, Winnetka, what you lack in balls is certainly made up for with type font. While taking the time to come all the way down from your high horse to "shame" me, you might note below that this was not my "predatory offer". I received this final offer FROM Blackie after several counters and dialogue. I offered several different players in return, including some RP (Iglesias was a "nice" RP, but on a bad team). His return was handpicked. Sorry it doesn't meet your lo
-
"the new guy in a league almost always gets lopsided offers very early as people try to take advantage of the newbie."
I wouldn't have the balls to make such a predatory offer. If anyone of us veterans received that offer we would have thought it as a joke or an insult.
This is more of a "shame on you" to Team Name and anyone else who tries to pick off a new guy. This trade is so lopsided that I wouldn't keep one single player that Team Name gave up.
-
I don't think anybody would want a veto to come across as a lynching or as a personal affront. If the trade gets vetoed, you will be able to turn it around on all of us and say, "let's see all of those great offers you all said I should get!" There is really no down side.
