8 of the 11 transactions for Carson Kelly came from Spa City. It would be interesting to see which player was on the most teams. Fun facts though! Also go Sox!
-
2018 transaction fun facts while we wait for the WS to start tonight. Our league had 1028 total transactions last year not including the auction. Vegas led the way with 174 followed close behind by Spa with 167 combining for 33% of the total. Former owner Hobbit had the fewest with only 28, while Blackie was a close second with 31. Single player maximums: Carson Kelly with 11 lapped the field with Jonathan Villar in 2nd at 8. 30 players were part of 5 or more transactions.

I abandoned my 5th team and a new owner took it over. I am trying to get a new owner for another team in League 85 (Tastes Good With White Wine), let me know if anybody wants it - solid roster coming off a championship. 5 leagues is too many for me. Scaling back to just 2 or 3 next year.
-
Congrats everyone! That is quite impressive. Definitely proud to be a part of this league, and hoping I grab myself a championship soon!
-
Sorry I missed one of your leagues Spa. Only 4 show up under your name. Perhaps a private league? Whatever, congratulations on the win I missed!
-
Also, I should probably add that I finished last in the other 2 leagues (this one and another league that Winnetka dominated). So I can't claim Winnetka level success: 3 wins and a close 2nd.
-
Winnetka won 3 leagues out of 4. I won 3 leagues out of 5. Philly won at least 1 league. So collectively we must have won at least 7 leagues, beyond Team Name's win in this league. So I assume we must be over 30%.
-
Just to keep everyone excited for arb and 2019 - winning this league is a major accomplishment based upon the competitiveness of the owners. Outside of our league, owners were involved in a total of 21 other leagues, won 6 of them (29%) and finished top 3 in 12 (57%). The median finish in other leagues was 3rd! Special shout out to Winnetka who won all 3 of his other leagues. Just missed going 4 for 4. A total of 4 2018 champions in our league: Team Name, Winnetka, Spa and Philly.

Welcome Cleveland Spiders to Flags Fly Forever. Based upon your Twitter bio and the rest of the returning managers, 2019 is going to be brutal in this league. Spa City should be making a trade proposal to you in the next 7 seconds, if he hasn't already. ;)

Thank you all for the congratulatory comments! I decided to take a little extra time to bask in the victory (Spa was only willing to give me, like, 24 hours). I feel fortunate to have hung on for the win as my pitching was awful down the stretch. Winnetka, you certainly gave a valiant effort. I look forward to competing with you all next season as I plan to return in an attempt to defend my crown. Who's everyone got in these playoffs? Both ALDS series look to be VERY entertaining.
-
Congrats to Team Name! Already counting down the days 'till the 2019 season!
-
Cheers guys, I hope whoever gets this team doesn't put in such a pitiful performance

Anyone have a friend they want to invite to the best league around? I will keep the team locked up until Monday and then make it available to everyone.
-
Hey Kiwi, sorry to hear you will be leaving us for 2019. Thanks for the heads up. I will work on finding a new owner.
-
Well done Dave. I won't be around for the next season, I haven't been able to put in the time and effort this game warrants. I'll stick around for Arb unless you can find a replacement, but I won't be renewing

I'll join everyone else in congratulating Team Name on winning this year! I'm looking forward to the 2019 season as well.
-
Nice win Team Name. Congratulations on the pennant.
-
Yes, congratulations Team Name on a strong year from start to finish to claim the 2018 championship banner. I also hope everyone will be back for 2019 as the league looks to be even stronger from top to bottom. It was great to see every team engaged to the end. If anyone is not planning to return for 2019, please let me know. One of my favorite parts of Ottoneu - allocation - starts in just a few weeks.
-
Congrats Team Name! It was a fun race this year. You better watch out for the Squirrels in 2019!
-
As the glory of Team Name's victory fades into memory, I look forward to returning to contention next year. I'll be back for 2019, and I hope everybody else returns next year also.
-
Team Name congrats! Went out in style with yesterdays point total.

I'm sorry Winnetka. No intent to thwart. Just tired of all those bloop hits falling in.

The Cubs chances are between slim and none. I would also like to thank the Philly Phoo Phighters for obstructing the Cubs in obtaining an OFer for the past three weeks. You have two more chances with Bruce and Desmond. I'm thinking that 12 OFers are not enough.

I hope Michael Kopec feels guilty about the impact of his injury on my fantasy baseball team next year. Truly inconsiderate of him.
-
Thank you. I did not realize my teams were 1-2 in the SABR leagues until Mighty Nimrods' message. I'll put some extra time in for the final few weeks to try to keep those teams in their positions. That would be a nice way to offset my embarrassing last place finish in this league.
-
Holy crap, I never noticed Spa City's SABR teams. I never scroll down there. Congrats Spa City, that is incredibly impressive!

I thought the Flying Squirrels would make a run at the title too, but after a really bad month of August and bad pitching all year it would take a miracle for me to take back first at this point.
-
The Spa City Thoroughbreds may be rebuilding in this league, but I see that 2 of your other teams are 1 and 2 on the overall SABR leaderboard. Impressive!
-
Sadly it does not appear that the Nimrods will put up much of a fight for the pennant. They have been a 2 month free fall of key injuries combined with a general inability to either hit or pitch. My end of year forecast point total has dropped about 1000 points over the past month.
-
Heck of a day for Winnetka. Looks like an interesting pennant race.
