willing to consider trading kershaw since it seems likely that he's out for the year. I'm not looking to sell low of him. just sell.

Announcement!! my bro is back in the league on a temporary basis to do a reclamation project on a team that has consistently been is super last place for three years in a row. I'm gonna try and trade for Cueto. You should too. But also know that he will be responding to trade offers and bidding on free agents to make the team better in the hopes that when we get a new owner in next year it is at least competitive.

I think if a strategy we should think about discouraging it given of we all did it then league would be a different game.
-
You can be over the cap and still accumulate points, but you can't change your lineup until you drop someone. Either an inactive manager or an interesting strategy.
-
Mr. Baseball being over the cap all season... what's up? Just curious.

hey all, I just wanted to acknowledge that it is pretty legit that the top 10 teams are so close to each other in terms of points. this might be the most competitive season that we've had so far. way to be!

I def remember the system not allowing me to do that when I tried. Sounds like an issue for Niv

Hey guys, I just noticed that Mr Baseball was able to cut Logan Forsythe on March 7th and win an auction for him on March 11th. Is the built-in 30-day period no longer in effect after cutting a player?

I've told Mr. Baseball privately and now I'm saying publicly that if he cuts Trout, our deal is off. I was only interested in keeping Trout from going through waivers. If that's not possible, I don't want to restrict any other owner from operating their team as they see fit, within the defined limits. So I am withdrawing my offer for Trout, and Mr. Baseball can handle his cap situation in whatever way he sees fit.
-
also, and i don't know if this helps or hurts, but to my mind its not as if you are giving up trout for nothing. You used the equivalent of his salary to get seager and pollock in the draft. So you could either have trout or those two guys. But trading trout after the fact kind of messes it up for everyone else. Since it would effectively mean that you received an extra $62 to spend during the draft which no one else had.
-
it's fine to request that no one claim trout if he gets cut. but in my opinion that's completely unenforceable if someone else does. I think that since the "let's make this shit up" portion of the draft is over, that we should rely on the built in mechanisms from here on out. I understand that this situation is a hold-over from the draft crazy times, but I am still not inclined to resolve that with more extraordinary measures. feel free to disagree.
-
Distressed Assets and I have a deal in place that would have me trading Trout for Lindor. Since I cannot make trades, I am asking the league to allow Distressed Assets to claim Trout, and then he and I will make a Lindor for Peralta deal. There is only 4 other teams that can claim him at his $62 price, so I ask this favor instead of just cutting him without getting anything in return.
