Yeah, I don’t think that will work. Having a ghost ship franchise for the season would mess things up. As commissioner, I can’t set the team’s lineups.

I guess that is a long way away
-
Is there merit to leaving the team as is in case he wants it back next year?
-
Whoever inherits that roster will sure have some tasty pieces.

Hey Everyone--I removed Farron as BCBB's owner, but haven't marked the team as abandoned. When I originally proposed transferring Lucchesi to 4 Baggers, it was with the expectation that BCBB wouldn't make the cuts necessary to make his roster legal. But he did that this morning. So I think what makes the most sense is to leave the team as/is for the next owner, including Lucchesi. Does that make sense? Does anyone have a friend who would like BCBB's team (and hopefully give it a better name)?

Yes, take care, and hopefully you can join us again down the road. Best wishes, Dave

Really sorry to hear this BCBB. Take care and hope things work out for you.
-
While I appreciate those kind sentiments, as I said, this storm going on in my personal life is going to continue for the near future, and I don't want to be a further burden as fantasy baseball becomes less of a priority in my day-to-day life and this happens again. I think it's better that I step away, at least for this season, and focus on the issues ongoing in my personal life. If next year, you guys have an opening in the league, please reach out. farronmcdonald@gmail.com
-
I agree. BCBB, I have enjoyed your participation in this league and this seems like a pretty minor infraction to me, one that I tripped on last year and was quickly forgiven. If you do leave, I think we all understand. I hope you're amenable to rejoining the league in the future if a team opens up. Take care.
-
I"m really sorry BCBB, I sure hope things get better for you soon. You shouldn't feel pressured to leave--a few hours of an illegal roster isn't a big deal in the scheme of things. And you also shouldn't feel pressured to stay. If this league brings you even a small amount of happiness, then you should stay. We all wish you the best.

That said, you guys run a really fantastic league and I'm extremely disappointed to be leaving it. Best of luck to each of you moving forward, and apologies again for the sporadic team management over the last month and leaving you all in a tough situation now.
-
Hi all... I apologize for the sporadic involvement thus far into the 2018 season. The last 2-3 weeks have found me dealing with some very real personal problems that have distracted me from this league in a very real way. Unfortunately, I can see these issues continuing for the near future and I don't find it fair to the rest of you that I spend any time not being as focused on my team as the rest of you have been. I'm begrudgingly forfeiting my team so that I can try to focus on this shit...
-
Yeah, good call on that.

Yeah $3
-
Yeah that makes sense—let’s go with $3
-
If we're adhering to the format, Chuck should probably get him at $3.
-
No objections from me.

if anything that is unfair to 4 Baggers, $10 is fine if Chuck is happy
-
unless anyone objects, i'll just go with transferring him to you at $10. if anyone does object, we can put it to a vote.

i'm giving BCBB till noon tomorrow to make his roster legal. if he doesn't do it by then, i'm going to cut lucchesi and mark his team as abandoned.
-
Been at it three months and I've now turned over more than 50 percent of the roster. Also dropped about halfway down the standings from '17, but things are happening anyway.

Whirling Darvish's trade block has been updated!
-
21 up 21 down with that lineup was just incredible. And Big Bart is doing it all for his dead mother, who wanted him to pitch till he was 45.
-
Holy crap! Bartolo Colon, not currently owned, is throwing a perfect game through 7 IP with 7 k's. Not sure what that is in Fangraph Pts but it's gotta be huge.
-
I am happy for you, because I love when homerism pays off in fantasy
-
He's fun to watch pitch. So much movement on his breaking pitches. Always felt he could be an outright ace and it's starting to look that way. Absolutely the best pitcher the Twinkies have had since Johan.
-
Berrios is off to some kind of hot start. Wow.

The weak link of my roster has always been Elvis Andrus penciled in for 158 games which he's done for umpteen yrs in a row.

Bryce Harper is singlehandedly keeping me in this race. This must continue. That said, there's a whole lotta competition at the top o' the standings.

Looking for some small MLB bats, especially OF eligible guys.

Helluva day of stats from Danger Wildman
-
Just figured it was germane to our recent conversation about cap penalties
-
i'll refer it to bob mueller to determine whether there was collusion involved.
-
I should probably address that I just traded for a player and cut him -- it was a speculative move, and I ended up needing the roster spot more than the speculative add. It's not something I would normally plan to do. I would have cut Lynn had I not traded him.
-
I hear you--3 guys on the DL and two more with MRIs today.
-
two of the three best hitters so far are guys i traded away this offseason. happy 2018 y'all!

I think Ayes is right that we will want to tweak the numbers down after this year, but I'm against changing them now.
-
That being said, I'm happy to talk about ways to improve the system during the offseason.
-
Any change would have to be by a unanimous vote, and I vote no.
-
Yes but we've gone thru arbitration, made our cuts, and drafted. It's too late.
