That's how I got him in said league, WD. Outbid Cuz for him and felt I paid waaaaay too much money. Almost cut him, too.
-
Remember when Lindor was a prospect and people weren't sure he'd hit? Some idiot in his other league went with that information and dropped him ahead of his rookie season. (Note: I'm the idiot.)
-
Biiig bet on the resurgence of Osuna there BCBB. Lindor is pretty phenomenal.

peel & eat schimpf's trade block has been updated!

He won me over with the walk-off squeeze earlier in the year--more exciting than all of last season combined. https://www.blessyouboys.com/2018/5/2/17312834/detroit-tigers-highlight-john-hicks-walkoff-bunt-single-jacoby-jones

After watching some of the Twinkies-Tigers series, it's pretty clear this team has a lot of work ahead of it. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if there's a clear out next month - Dozier, Lynn, Santana, Morrison, Sano -- could all be gone. Just absolutely dreadful hitting. Hey Peel, how are you enjoying the Gardenhire experience? I've always liked him, an entertaining fellow. He's perfect for a club rebuilding.

Trust The Process's trade block has been updated!

I am definitely a fan of the ad-free model, so I'm on board. Just wonder if the sticker shock will cost them some people.
-
Glad to hear it! Niv really won me over with his thoughtful and gracious responses on the message board thread about the price increase.
-
I hate to see a 100% hike in one year but hopefully they are doing it so they don't have to raise for a long time. I'm in next year.
-
Just in case you didn't all notice, the annual cost is increasing to $20 next year. Please let me know if that's a problem, though obviously you don't need to decide about coming back right away. I just want to get a sense as to what level of attrition we can expect. As for me, I still love ottoneu and plan to come back. This is my only league. In Mike and Shohei we trust, Dave

Wittgren is pretty close.
-
Well, cut Scherzer then.
-
*Namibia
-
oh, sorry--i didn't notice that. he's off the grid in Nambia. i'll make a cut to make his roster legal.
-
What happened to the Muskies? It's been about three days now with that illegal roster.
-
If Trout wants to beat the Mariners he's going to have to consider hitting 3 or 4 HR's in a game instead of these measly 2 HR's/game.

Actually, no -- that whole league is screwy. weird.
-
Yeah, I assume that roster is some kind of "restricted list" and they just don't use the top ~40 players.
-
Maybe that's what Shaw meant by a fake team.
-
Some strange shit going on with that No. 1 roster: https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/882/team?team=6264
-
Shaw is 19th and Trust the Process is 36th... oh wait, that's a different Trust the Process.
-
P&E in 9th overall with 1 fake team above him and 4 teams with $100+ in incoming loans already
-
I've also been eerily injury free aside from Myers. There's a lot of ways it can go.
-
Franmil Reyes looks he ate Kevin Maas
-
not sure i'll be able to hang with shaw, who's basically fielding an all-star team. once you account for innings pitched, he's in first place.
-
That's true. P&E and my team were running around 108 pts/game last June. You can click on the standings page and scroll down to the chart and see that P&E and Shaw are running at 115 and 113 pts/game, respectively.
-
Schrimpf and Shaw are WAY ahead last year's leaders. Of course this MLB season started earlier than '17, but that's mitigated somewhat by the many early postponements.
-
For what it's worth, on June 5 of last yr the standings were: P&E 6829, DiEyes 6828, DaWi 6364, Panik (now Shaw) 6237, Sugary (now WD) 5989. The last date I kept records was June 7. After that P&E quickly built a demoralizing 1,000 point lead on the field.
-
The problem with acquiring Murphy is that I'll never make up the opportunity cost of the $15 of extra salary that I had to carry.
-
at least there's hope for murphy. i've just been wildly flailing since last season.
-
Boy, that off season trade of Tanaka for Murphy was a real winner for both teams.
-
Whirling Darvish's trade block has been updated!

I've finally dropped into the single digits for DL players last night. Been a long season already on the injury front, but hopeful some much needed help will be returning soon. I'm looking at you, Mr. Eaton!
-
Whirling Darvish's trade block has been updated!
-
Oh, and that theory that pitchers are more risky due to injury? That's b.s.
-
Another guy to the DL. At this point I'm just going to maintain an equilibrium of around 9 or 10. If I get one too many someone gets cut. I like the metaphor of cutting bait with the Shark.
-
Holy shit, what is my bullpen doing tonight
-
As the guy who chose the second-dumbest time to add Walker, thanks for the $2.
-
looks like i chose the absolute dumbest time to pick up walker--right as he's headed to the bench.
-
Peel squeezed a lot of value out of Walker last year. I'm ready to be a bitter old man if it happens again. I actually dropped Gennett at $6 and used that to purchase Walker in the draft. I'm an idiot.

Contemplating a switch to Tampa Reyes

Motion to rename Thor's Warriors Thorriors. It will just save time.
