Lucchesi decision was made by a dead phone and a traffic jam. Anderson is on me
-
Unlucky—benching Lucchesi in a hitters’ Park seemed like the right call.

Started the wrong pitcher today. 90 point swing. Woof.
-
Or, 3.5 in my case, i.e. Gausman, Plesac, Canning, Archer, and umm... well Folty's off the map.

4 ppi is the new 5 ppi

I can quit Neil Walker pickups whenever I want.

Neil Walker was just activated from the IL. He's wide open for bc to acquire again.
-
Put another way: There were 10 home runs in the Astros-A's game last night. I'm so old I remember when the ball didn't carry in Oakland at night. That was like, 2013? Also I'm kinda glad now that my $23 Aaron Sanchez bid wasn't enough.
-
Put another way, my 4.99 pitching average, second in the league, would have been eighth last year. Go back a few more seasons and you'll see even bigger changes. Such is life in the era of the Happy Fun Ball.
-
Yikes. Last year five out of twelve teams in this league had a higher P/IP than P/G. This year I'm the only one that's even close. 2019 is crazy.
-
A day earlier this year.
-
It's the middle of August, and I'm cutting Kurt Suzuki. See you next year good buddy.
-
jose martinez is my new steve pearce.

Able to take on salary in a trade as long as the player is keeper-worthy at their salary for 2020.

per camargo's comment, here are standings with everyone normalized to Astudillo: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eAdZKC2koOkilTZnioXKiXOsaopZFvteUQDda1y5u_A/edit?usp=sharing
-
Time of inquiry to deal: 9 minutes.
-
If anyone wants to stash Austin Riley and is willing to part with a with a good starting pitcher, get at me. And by good I mean, pretty damn good.
-
unless Cruz also has the power to erase 100 IP, i'm afraid he can't do much for me.
-
Nelson Cruz has 10 home runs in his last 9 starts. If this power would look good on your pennant-chasing team (or would look too scary on your rival’s team) send offers.
-
That is officially the biggest Sanchez contract in Ottoneu points
-
Haha. The magical pixie dust that Houston sprinkles on its pitchers is powerful stuff.
-
wow.
-
Just a reminder everyone—you need to be close to maxing out your games played and innings pitched to get the coupons this season.

at this point, whenever Astudillo picks up a player for $1, I just assume I made a mistake.
-
How about, "I can't believe it's not Buttery?"
-
I smell a name change coming for Astudillo Nights. Maybe "Obleday Obledah Life Goes On"
-
Motivated seller for Justin Turner.
-
In the Springy Ball Era, all the hitters are good and some of the pitchers are luckier than others.
-
I've got four SP averaging over 5 pts/IP. Make an offer!

What mystifies me is there now seems to be only one good pitcher in all of MLB (who recently got traded in our league) and the rest are crap on any given day.
-
is Eric Sogard good now? i don't really understand baseball.
-
I can take on salary, as long as the player's keeper-worthy this offseason.

I fixed Tyler O'Neill and his 40% K-rate overnight. Don't underestimate my powers.
-
What happens if he cuts Frankie Lindor? Does he turn into Foxx, Ruth and Josh Gibson combined? Or does it go the other way and Lindor is like the players in Space Jam after the aliens take their powers?
-
I don't think anyone's going to go after a cut Jake Bauers, but then you never know. His hitting skills look to be trending towards Jamie Foxx, not Jimmie.
-
Hey, if you need a hitter let me know. I'll cut someone from my team for you and they'll turn into Jimmie Foxx
-
Mookie IS young! but interesting nonetheless

Sad to see Mookie go, but felt like I needed to get younger. And this was easier than Rogaine or a convertible.
-
Whoa! Didn't see that trade coming.
-
thanks Acuna--that's a more complete explanation.
-
To be clear, and maybe stating the obvious, the minimum bid for a cut player is 50% of their original salary. Whether you cut him or not you have to bid at least that level. For instance if you didnt cut Upton, it doesnt matter, you have to bid at least $14. His salary when he was cut and cleared waivers was $28. You cant bid $5 if you werent the team that cut him. System wont process it. If you were the team to cut him, yes, their min bid is $28 to get him back.
-
Not stupid at all—you can bid whatever you like.
-
Stupid question. I see some players with minimum bids greater than a buck. I didn't cut them, so I can bid whatever I want, right? That only applies to the dude who cut the player, correct?
-
Just want to see the rule enforced as written. No accusation involved.
-
Damn, too many Austin Adamseseseses.
-
I wasn’t trying to pull a fast one—honestly just wanted him back and didn’t realize his salary was only $3.
-
Fine, changed the salary back to $6.
-
... and yet the current salary is still below the original price, contra to the rule.
-
He did bid the appropriate amount ($6)
