Public Enemy and Wiarton - are we gonna get you guys back for 2022? Looks like everyone else has checked in recently. Hoping January brings a labor agreement and a busy trade season before the deadline. Hope you all have a great New Year's.

This is a competitive and long running league and one of the main reasons is we traditionally get 100% of the owners to complete the arbitration process. I sure we get everyone to do that this season, we only have a few days left.

Smoke on the Water nailed it. I will be doing this with Nick Senzel in a few days. He is a cap hit of $5 for me at the moment, but after signing him again and cutting him I can reduce it to a $3 cap hit. And then in a month a $2 cap hit. And so on.

I previously owned those players and cut them. I suffered a 50% cap hit on their salaries. By acquiring them again at actual cost and cutting them again, I knock off another 50% off their cap hit. An $8 cap hit can eventually be reduced to $1 over enough time, thus saving $7.

Hi Everyone. So I’m new to ottoneu this year (probably pretty apparent lol) so I’ve been trying to understand the inner workings of a lot of things. Loving it so far!!! But can someone tell me the reason you would add players and then cut them for example in Colome and Luplow? Just so I know if it’s a salary cap kind of strategy or a more strategic one to block others. Thanks everyone!!

Something seems wrong with the standings page today, it doesn't seem to be loading properly. I'm not sure what it is but something seems amiss. It happened one day last week before correcting itself. I'm sure it's going to work out but just a little unsettling.

So if Sunday evenings are the focus, we are looking at February 28, March 14, March 21, and March 28. Does anyone have a preference or a conflict with those days? I will tentatively set the draft date as March 21 at 7pm EST so that we have a time secured, but let me know if there is any issue with it and I will change it accordingly.

March 14 is good for me, any time. I'm on pacific time but don't mind something that starts early. 6 or 7 central or anything around that time is fine for me.

Sounds like Sundays are solid. I thought I saw auction conflicts on the 7th and 21st for a couple folks. Do we want to look at March 14th? I'm not sure what time zone spread we have here, but maybe something around 6 or 7 CST or later for those that have kids and spouses to appease?

Awesome to see a full league - welcome to the new owners. Sunday evenings in March have traditionally worked well for this league, can we make that work again?

We are once again at full capacity ownership-wise, so we will now need to discuss possible draft dates and times. I am free to draft on any day of the week at any time, so please post what may or may not work for you and we'll see if we cannot iron out some options. Tentative Opening Day is April 1, but I do not know how much stock we can put in that.

Okay, so two teams expired--Syndergaardians and Going Ya Ya--but a new owner has already jumped in for Syndergaardians. As such, the new onwer will have penalty-free cuts until Saturday to get their roster in order. I am still trying to find out about Going Ya Ya's status (i.e., if it was intentional or not).

Not sure what is going on there, as Syndergaardians was active as of January 31. I have not heard from them, so we will have to wait and see.

Hey guys, I'm happy to have joined the league. I'm taking over an 11th place team with a lot of dead weight. As you can probably guess, I'm going to be making a lot of cuts on Sunday. I just updated my trade block with some guys that I'm either planning on cutting or willing to let go for the right price. Message me if you're interested.

Looks like we are in pretty good shape. Has anyone had radio contact with Wiarton Wellies? No activity since the end of September and hoping they are just getting ready to check back in for the new season. It'd be a shame to have that roster (TROUT) sitting unused.
