April 27, 2025 9:46 AM : McCullers (forearm) allowed three hits and one walk while striking out seven across five scoreless innings in his rehab start Saturday with Double-A Corpus Christi.
Analysis: McCullers had a two-week gap between rehab outings after a bout with an illness resulting in him skipping out on a start. He managed to continue ramping up in spite of the brief shutdown, however, as he threw 71 pitches Saturday in what was the heftiest workload of his four rehab starts to date. The Astros have yet to decide on McCullers' next steps, but he could be activated from the 15-day injured list to make his first appearance with the big club since the 2022 World Series during next weekend's series against the White Sox.
