Aroldis Away, Aroldat Away's trading block has been updated!

Very funny, Kris, but you're not getting Dickey. If you want to re-live a real-life trade, we can trade AJ Burnett for a sack of baseballs.
-
Profar, Pro Good's trading block has been updated!
-
(for those who don't know me personally, I should clarify that those are the *New York* Giants and *New York* Rangers, not the baseball teams with the same names)
-
I'm a Mets/Giants/Rangers/Knicks fan living in Philadelphia. It would take less than Ed Kranepool to make moving to Toronto appealing.
-
Would you move to Toronto if they signed Ed Kranepool?
-
At least Dickey is getting traded to a team that I can root for. It's nice that the Blue Jays have consolidated my two favorite ex-Mets on the same roster for me. Maybe they'll find a way to bring Howard Johnson out of retirement for me.

Marlets?

Can't wait to see the new uniforms for the Toronto Metlins.

Eno Sarris tweeted this today: Running list, ownership deals: JHam, Bay, A-Rod (2x?), RSoriano, Sheff, Unit, Wright (NYY), Andruw, Manny (LA) (Piazza out), Fielder, V. Wells.
-
I just hope he's overcome his "blonde hair and blue eyes" struggle that prevented him from seeing the ball during a period last season.
-
Indeed, I fairly certain we ALL immediately made the Hamilton to Rube Waddell comparison.
-
He's sort of like Rube Waddell. Crazy talented ball player, but you're never really sure if he's going show up mentally on any given day. If he does, you've got one of the best, if not, well... good luck.
-
One day benders aren't the biggest problem with Hamilton. He's an awkward clubhouse guy and complete headcase. God told him to quit chewing tobacco mid-season last year so he did and, probably enhanced by his history of dependence, slumped big time.
-
It seems like the Angels might not even have a baseball operations department and all of their decisions are made by ownership.
-
That's exactly what I was telling my buddies yesterday. I want to be excited about him as an Angel, but I wouldnt be surprised if he shows up in Tijuana one day on a bender.
-
Haha! SO glad Seattle isn't paying him $25mil a year. The city of Los Angeles + Josh Hamilton's past, seems like a recipe for potential disaster.
-
And here's another new one: "Josh Hamilton, Angel"
-
... for Didi Gregorius, who was, until very recently, the guy whose name people just voted for in those "Best Names of MiLB" polls.
-
Who ever thought they'd see the words "Trevor Bauer RHP for the Cleveland Indians" in print?
-
As long as Dayton Moore continues to pay Jeff Francoeur, his ability as a GM will always be suspect.

Anibal Collective's trading block has been updated!

I'm game for keeping the two free drops. I rarely turn down anything that's free.
-
For the record, I think he's done a tremendous job and am thrilled he's the GM. I really like Myers (Anibal can attest by the million offers I've sent for him), but this is extremely exciting move for KC baseball.
-
Most of this fanbase is just so jaded and disenfranchised, they jump to arbitrarily negative opinions on any of Dayton's moves.
-
As a Royals fan, I stayed up late last night and spent the entirety of this morning defending the move on as many sites as possible haha
-
It seems to me that when Dayotn Moore says the Royals are going for it, he means the AL Central title, not a World Series.
-
*allowed
-
I think we discovered last year that that "two free drops after the deadline" rule was no longer in effect, although we allows it anyways by making specific requests to the League Commishes. Should we do that again this year or drop it?

Anibal Collective's trading block has been updated!

Hold on a second... so now I have Longoria, Myers, Odorizzi and Archer... I'm the Tampa Bay Rays! As a Jays fan, this conflicts me.
-
We have a few Royals fans here, yes? Thoughts on the Shields-Davis/Myers-Odorizzi-Montgomery-(other guy) trade? Seems like a trainwreck for the Royals, to me.

Two Weeks Notice's trading block has been updated!

trade activity update: we've tied The Bull Durham League for the lead in number of trades with 28, but are still far behind in number of players moved: 117-96

Two Weeks Notice's trading block has been updated!

Yeah, until the 31st you can drop players penalty free. After that I think you get two free drops, but it goes back to in-season drop rules: you keep a cap penalty that's half of the cut player's salary.

The WILLderness's trading block has been updated!

January 31st is the deadline to drop players without a salary penalty?
-
In my pre-teen years my brothers and I used to flip open our lock-blade knives to get the gangster switchblade vibe. Once the knife slipped from my hand as I did that and stuck in the wood cabinet behind my brother, a few inches from his ear. Accidental?
-
Ahh, okay. Thanks for clarifying.
-
usually when I get stabbed in the thumb while hunting it's because a deer with mutant opposable thumbs hides in the leaves and takes a swipe at me as I cartwheel through the woods.
-

... him for a deer, dropped out of a tree and stabbed him in the thumb. I understand getting shot while hunting, but stabbed? WTF?
-
Does anyone know what the circumstances of his "accidental stabbing" were? As a city boy I'm ignorant about these, but I don't really understand how that's possible. At the moment I'm imaging that he wasn't wearing his orange vest and someone mistook...

If you're going to get into a hunting accident be Robin Yount.
