Yeah, OPL is a cruel world. My only team that ever amounted to anything had one great ability - suppressing my opponents' scoring. I somehow made it to the quarters despite scoring in the bottom 50% three matchups in a row, and then regression finally put an end to it. Luck > skill

SABR-tooth, you'll usually find that the auction starts slower while most people still have $$ and roster spots to fill, but speeds up as it goes along. 2-2.5 hours is a reasonable expectation. Unlike some leagues, Ottoneu isn't won or lost in the draft - the free agent universe is wide and deep, and the FA market is active all season.
