August 24, 2025 7:31 PM : Taillon was removed from his start in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Angels in the fifth inning due to left groin tightness, Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Taillon ended up picking up his second straight win to improve his record to 9-6, and he tossed five innings of one-run ball while striking out three batters and allowing three hits and no walks. After the game, Taillon referred to the injury as a "small cramp" in his left groin, per Bruce Levine of 670TheScore.com, and manager Craig Counsell added that the right-hander's removal from the game was precautionary. Taillon can be considered day-to-day for the time being, but assuming he's able to make it through his between-starts bullpen session without issue, he'll likely return to the hill Saturday in Colorado.
