And the reason it matters is because it allows you to hold onto the rights to extra players that could become more valuable with MLB offseason moves, allows for more trade options during league offseason, and allows for more players that could take on arbitration money on your team and keep salary increases down on your team due to having more options(players).

Would everyone be open to doing our prize pool separately from Ottoneu? Ottoneu takes a $300 cut from our league. We could do the lower tier with no prize money and then do our own prize pool at $100 a piece with awards at $800, $300, and $100...or even $600, $300, $200, and $100. Thoughts?

c. At no time should a team willingly go over roster and salary cap limits. If a team knowingly does this, they will face penalties at the discretion of their league's commissioner.

Finally had some luck on my side after last years debacle. Things were looking pretty grim as June ended when I was sitting in 4th place with 76 points, 10 points back of MasterB's. 6 weeks later I was at 100 points, 17 clear of second. But as surprising as that was, I think the battle for second and third has been even more astonishing. When you look at that line graph over the last month it's just a constant position swap between 5 teams.
