You're going to win anyway, but funny how that deal looks now less than two months later.
-
Not to pile one here, Trey, but in the deal that netted you Wainwright and Tulo (for two games), you gave a 24-year-old, $7 2B averaging 6/5 P/G. I thought for sure that deal clinched the title for you.
-
In 49 IP in my lineup, Wainwright averaged 3.02 P/IP. He was my single worst starting pitcher of the year outside of Homer Bailey

In nine starts on Trey's team, Wainwright posted a 4.20 FIP.
-
ah, the first expensive guy gone
-
Correct, 330...or what seems like the exact amount of points Stanton has produced YTD over Baez since you traded him

He only leads me by 330 points, right? Or am I looking at the wrong chart?

-

-
I'm in...trying to shoot for not last place of the teams not giving up by May 1st...
-
You can count on me. 6th place or not, this is my favorite league. Shooting for at least 5th next year!
-
September 1st a good date to do a final check: Any owner not planning to return for 2015? Please let me know now so we can plan accordingly. Hopefully all are planning to play again next season.

not sure if it had anything to do with the trade actually being submitted before the deadline
-
no idea... we had tossed several years back and forth right at the deadline and when I finally accepted this one, it was just after the deadline
-
I don't care about the trade, but how did you guys manage to get a trade processed that shows acceptance after the deadline?
-
Seems quiet around here.
-
I'm be around today if anyone wants to strike up a deal. Open to ideas.
-
Heads-up that Jon Lucroy and Javier Baez are currently hanging out there in offer thru the site.

Awesome.

Im looking forward to seeing the next 3 days pre-trade deadline and what Chicago/Lucky do with their rosters (if anything) and if other owners start taking $30+ guys off their hands to help start the rebuilds

just one, apparently

I'm looking forward to seeing how many cuts it takes MoPain Amaro to get his salary back in line after snagging Verlander. I can't imagine cutting Longo to add Verlander but otherwise it's going to take an interesting mix of moves...

Hah. All their guys in their 30s are actually about 45. And they also forgot about it all. Inside info.

It's how the Phillies are fixing their age issue...
-
I wish I could repeat my 22nd birthday. While I'm at it, can I do that about 10 times?
-
Are teams allowed to just repeat the player's birthday now? Does that keep his age down?
-
From MiLB: "For the second straight year, Philly's No. 3 prospect Maikel Franco celebrated his 22nd birthday with a homer . . ."
-
I think Maikel Franco has maybe woken up...

That start lowered Odorizzi's P/IP for the season by about half a point
-
Amazing stat of the day by @baseball_ref: So far in his professional career (all levels) Bryce Harper has never face a pitcher younger than him. (Trout has only 6 times). Fascinating!
-
Odorizzi with -45 points tonight. New record?
