• I'm by no means a Mets apologist, but with the way you can pick up cheap, effective, veteran arms these days I'd rather acquire the young bat. I don't see too many young SS available for $40M.

• $44M over the next six years for a young everyday SS seems like a bargain to me. Offense is getting harder to find, especially MI. Resign Colon as your 5th for $2M and never look back on Syndergaard.

• Yeah, that Wainwright deal has already turned ugly for me, and it pushed you to net Abreu/Stanton, which was one of the better deals of the season. That will set you up nicely for 2015.
