Every team has a few guys who would be worth voting off... just this would allow teams to protect 1 player. If i didn't lose Kluber this year, I would lost either Gomez, Bryant, or Stanton.

I don't like the protected keeper idea personally. I enjoy the voting off.

I mean I see the idea but still think it defeats the team balancing purpose of the vote off to let a team protect their most valuable player from vote off
-
I agree. Kinda defeats the purpose. I don't like to change things just to change things

agreed
-
Sort of defeats the purpose of the vote off no?
-
You mean like preventing everybody from voting for one particular player?
-
Has any one considered the idea of being able to protect one keeper at the end of the year? Might add an interesting twist.

Sorry doesn't put the delicious triscuit crackers in my stomach does it Carl? lol
-
Sorry about Stroman. I've dodged a couple bullets now with my trade timing.

Saw that... Thats pretty rough. As if Bacon needs more help!
-
Wow.. worst timing for Stroman trade ever. That's a bummer.

I'm fine with the move by the way
-
As I recall I was the only other person to even bid on him at the draft...
-
Hicks, give him Michael Taylor for $5 unless some other owner thinks he is worth more than that.
-
Downtown Funk You Up's trade block has been updated!
-
Downtown Funk You Up nominated the wrong Michael Taylor at the draft. He wanted the one from the Nats. He paid $5 for him. Does anyone have a problem assigning the other Michael Taylor to him for $5. We could have an auction if there is demand for him. Your thoughts are welcome.
-
Yeah, I just looked-up the highest bid, no way I was getting him, haha.

Yeah, ok, might be easiest to leave it as is then, assuming no one else wanted Castro/Sipp.

If you go to auctions and then click results it says what the max bids were for the player. It's not gonna be an ideal situation no matter what's decided.
-
That's a fair point Levy. Mind you, I can't see what the ceiling on the bid was, and people will also know that I intended to bid higher. And it ain't hard to outbid me given my cap space. That said, it's only one player, so I can deal with it ether way.

That's a tough call though bc now you can see what others bid. Just playing devils advocate I agree that it could have affected things. Not sure how to handle properly. I don't think tomorrow's auctions should be an issue though right?
-
Not to mention the outcomes of the Kershaw affected auctions, will influence my (and others) bids on the rest of the auctions. I think a reboot is a good idea.

I agree with Ropes that players affected by Kershaw should go back into FA pool. I got screwed on at least one of Castro/Sipp. Would have written earlier, but ottoneu messaging doesn't work from mobile and my laptop was tied-up all day waiting for a beast of a model to converge. So, i couldn't have altered my bid on Sipp if I wanted to.

Bidding issue is resolved. I got Kershaw for $1 cheaper than I should have so if commish wants to drop/add back at $52. Otherwise I'm cool w it lol
-
I think all of the players on auction should go back into FA until the issue is resolved.
-
yeah, some folks might end up getting a gift of no competition on their bids
-
I imagine the problem will be resolved when kershaw comes off the board but you may want to email the commish asap if u r bidding on Castro or don't think you'll have time between end of kershaw and sipp, Chavez, etc
-
So, what's the deal with this auction not working? Any clues?

Shooting Ropes's trade block has been updated!

Though the commish will have to remove so I can bid
-
If dropping him now will help that's fine w me. Only dfyu and I have the cap space to compete anyway so I'll have him put in a bid for 51 and I'll do 52 and that should be that
-
Probably. The auction for Kershaw is still showing, even though he's on your roster. That can't be good.

I wonder if adding Kershaw to my team has created the auction issue
-
I'm excited about this league. Gonna be a tough, competitive season by the looks of it.

Not like I was expecting to win the bid on Kershaw with my $9 of cap space, haha. I was just going through SP FAs and there he was.

He's already lost Puig, so he should obviously get to keep Kershaw. Ok, thanks for checking into the bids.
