Giants are turning Longoria into a Rover. In case Ruiz is too stationary.

Bluth- you stole Mercedes Yermin from me. So, I have resorted to cloaking my mediocre waiver pick-ups. Hey batta batta

He is talking about the Nuschlers adding and dropping the same person a couple times. I'm thinking its either a bold strategy to rack up salary dollars or a Russian disinformation campaign designed to confuse us all... lol

What do you mean, Bluth? The draft is over, so it's just the normal in-season add/drop process.
-
What's up with the several add/cuts already? Are people accidentally auctioning guys?

Hard for me personally to determine weeknight availability more than a week in advance. Not sure about others.
-
I did the poll, but just curious, why not look at weekday nights? Has that been ruled out in past seasons already? Family wise anything weekend during the day/early evening is tough for me.

I filled out the poll. I'll be traveling for work March 9-24, but should be able to do evening drafts most of those dates (though I already have drafts on the evenings of the 14th and 15th). Also have drafts on the evenings of Feb 29th and March 1st, but would be able to do daytime drafts on those days. Strong preference for sometime on March 7-8.

Sunday March 1 works as well for the league as far as I have seen - should have put weekend(s)... sorry!
-
Alright, I made this quick poll on doodle. Everyone can vote for the times that they can do the draft (yes/no/"if need be"). I only put weekends on the poll, but I can expand it to weekdays if you guys decide you want to try and make a weekday work. https://doodle.com/poll/hhkvubstkzqzpedg
-
Judge and Drury said he is vacationing on the 21st and Parkman said he can't do the 22nd. My other league uses a doodle to help schedule drafts. Is everyone up for filling that out?
-
As the new guy I don’t want to rock the boat but I work a 12 hr shift feb 29 7am-7pm PST. I’ve done drafts while I’ve worked in the past. Patients don’t need to know why they might be waiting longer :). How does the online auction work? I don’t work Sat mar 21, btw. I also dont work any sundays during feb and mar, so if that day works I’m good.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but most of the people who chimed in said they couldn't draft on either March 7 or 14 weekend so that basically leaves the 29th of Feb or 21st of March weekend, right?. My vote would be for the earlier of the two, but that's just me.

I am thinking about buying Stratomatic Baseball Daily and then loading our league teams onto it and running a daily simulation as the league progresses. If that would be something you would find interesting, let me know.

Yesterday, PTBNL posted this link (https://community.ottoneu.com/t/old-waiver-claims-processed-by-mistake/6947) which explains why this happened in the first place. It says in the hyperlink, "old waiver claims processed by mistake". Since Levy and I had made a claim that couldn't be completed by midnight of the last day of the regular season, it wasn't a legit claim. It should have been deleted by Ottoneu and no one should have gotten Barnes.

I am guessing this is the rule.
e. When a player is dropped, other team owners have 24 hours to claim him on waivers for 100% of his salary, with the team lowest in the standings getting priority. If the regular season has not begun yet, a coin flip will determine who is awarded the player

I honestly had forgotten all about it
-
I personally think the waiver should go through the next day before arb voting starts just like any other day, in which case it would have gone to Go Nads.
-
I see no problems with making waiver claims on the last day of the season, although it really puts the teams that make claims at a disadvantage because you won't know if you will actual get the player until after the cut deadline.

Definitely one of the "glitch" aspects of this whole thing... because when the transaction went through we were all tied, as in right now! That is why it was decided by a coin toss, and not by standings. I am ok with it not going through as long as it's something that no one can do in the future.
-
As the new guy, can someone explain how levy won a coin toss when he was first in the league. I thought it went to who ever was worse in the standings? I don’t care the outcome, but curious for future transactions.
-
Regardless of the outcome I think it is fair to say there is no need to drop players on the last day, haha. Wait until after arbitration...
-
Go Nads, how can you say that when you were the other guy to make a claim on him! I honestly don't care if that's what everyone else wants, but would you be voting no if you had gotten him? lol
-
actually, I misunderstood. I thought the waiver was caused by the cuts made by Curly Jefferson just recently, not at the very end of the regular season.

I remember the other time this happened b/c I’m pretty sure it was me that was able to add someone. The one difference was I wanna say everyone was asked if they were ok with it since I was the only person claiming the player. With Barnes two people claimed him. I’m fine to draft whenever.
-
My two cents. If this had been a claim for Carlos Correa, would we just say "Oh well, it was a glitch"? I find it hard to believe that that would be the league sentiment. So, if I would vote no for Correa, I would also vote no for Barnes. Anyway, I'm just excited to draft. You guys come up with a day and time and I'll be ready.
