Thanks NGB, but I realize that was really just a way for you to dis Scherzer.
-
Mikey, This is a tough league... your team puts up 300 and everyone yawns. Not me, congratulations, what a day... and even though lesser Max didn't even break 40!!
-
Seems the Red Sox themselves donโt think thereโs any suspense about it.

Why do broadcasters continue to pretend there's still any suspense surrounding whether the Red Sox will make the post-season or not?
-
Wish the O's would put the training wheels on Mountcastle.
-
wish the A s would take the training wheels off of AJ Puk
-
Brew, You're a good sport. And if by the Tigers, you mean the Braves, I'd have to agree.
-
tigers have some really nice pitching in a few years
-
no , the cubs have too many resources now, will be more like red sox , bad years and good years
-
Theo, no doubt, moves on to San Diego to guide a third franchise to a long awaited Championship.
-
On the bright side, the White Sox will be on the rise.
-
Looking more and more like the Cubs' window of being a contending team has closed already. By opening day 2020 they're be few players or coaches from the Championship team still in a Cubs uniform and the team will be mired in mediocrity, or worse, for years to come.
-
I doubt that anyone saw a Rockies young rotation, that drove the 2018 success, completely collapsing in 2019. But that's what happened.
-
Definitely thought the Rockies would win the NL West. Didn't think the Dodgers would be bad, just thought they'd take a step back and Rockies would take a step forward, and that'd be enough since they tied in '18. Really thought Kershaw would be much less help than he's been, and didn't see Bellinger becoming a monster.
-
Rockies seemed to have just given up into free fall somewhere in July
-
Yes ,and Rockies were better than Arizona
-
Donโt think of NGB as a Braves fan, think of him as a guy who believed the Rockies were good and the Dodgers werenโt.

I'm convinced Max is back, and that Braves fans cannot be impartial or rational
-
Hmm. Itโs very possible I donโt know how to read these lines, but it looks like the consensus is WAS -128. Is that really โno, itโs not possible for the Braves to winโ? Note that MIL is -131 against the Cubs, and SL is -226 @PIT.

If Max dominates the Braves lineup, I'll declare him all the way back from the walking wounded. My team is starting to leak oil down the home stretch straight-away... Trout, Bryant, and Harper all among the walking wounded.
-
Betting against Vegas isn't a good strategy, but I'm unconvinced the real Max is back (no pun intended), so I would take Soroka today.
-
Can the Braves possibly beat Max today ? Vegas odds say no
-
Thanks NGB. Perhaps itโll help keep the depression at bay.
-
For OF/1B/3B
-
30 hrs without other stats is meh these days
-
Renfroe never plays, should have not taken Mikeys discard
-
Mikey, Look at the bright side, Doolittle pitched a clean inning.
-
A visit to my points-in-lineup page revealed that my in lineup current hitting ppg leader is Buster Posey!! I added him only to please Maria and for his clubhouse intangibles... you know, to teach greenhorns like Trout how to handle the pressure of a stretch run.
-
I hope he parks a pair!!
-
Me too!

Riley is back , hope he parks one off Corbin .

First time ever! I can cross it off the bucket list now.
-
Ngb brilliantly managed his pitchers last night, made all the right moves

Is CMart a free agent after this season? Is that why the Cardinals don't care if they blow his arm out again? They've pitched him 4 days in a row now in high leverage appearances!
-
I sat Cease @ Indians, and he puts up 42 , geez pitching is fickle
-
If cubs play ,wind is gusting out to RF . Queen Felix will get tattooed
-
Final Baseball America Prospects Rankings update for the 2019 season released today: Dustin May #18; Sixto #20.
-
Cubs game tonight will probably be a rain out
-
I'll probably be cutting Chirinos soon because he's really only playable against LHP at home on the third Wednesdays of even numbered months... and we're out of even numbered months this season.
-
Errr.. Look at your roster...
-
Sometimes I think the best way to play this game is to look at your and select the 12 best hitters and 7 best SP's and just always play those guys no matter what. But then I hit a 30-pt Chirinos jackpot because I played him against LHP at home... and I'm right back to over-thinking things.
-
I would have sat him vs DC , after seeing them last weekend
-
DC has such a more speedy and dynamic offense than Chicago. You would think those poing totals would be reversed
-
Seriously though, Thor has been consistently excellent since all star break. That Cubs disaster being the only blemish. I didn't play him today because I'm ahead in IP's and he has a start or two still coming vs. Marlins that I want to be sure to fit in under the limit.
-
That's an easy one, Thor hates me. Must know I'm a Braves fan and/or that I called him a #3 or #4 starter.
-
Look at Syndergaard, for instance,. 68 points vs DC today and -32 vs. Cubs .
-
Hate is too strong, rather I find it the most frustrating
-
I hate the pitching aspect of this game...doh
-
Mikey, You are the league champ who won it with the 3rd best HR-hitting team that season.
