Specifically, October 8th - 12th.
-
BTW, Bat and I will be attending this year's Fall Stars game in person, and a few AFL game leading up to that weekend, if anyone else is interested in joining in.
-
I'm heavily influenced by the AFL, where last fall Yamamoto had his way with the best of the best up and coming hitters. Funny you should mention Bieber, that's exactly the comp I used with Mikey... i.e., that I viewed Yamamoto as this season's Bieber. That's a stretch in that Moto doesn't have anything close to Justin's command, but by the comp I just meant that he's sneaky good like Bieber and therefore was flying under the radar like Bieber was.
-
Well, sure, getting lectured about either of these guys would be weird, but โgoodโ Yamamoto didnโt even make it to the all-star break. Iโm sad about this, I always hope the guys from Hawaii succeed. Maybe heโs worth a flyer in hope of some late-blooming Bieberism.

I was sure Mikey was talking about Renfroe.

I think you wild card watchers can eliminate Milwaukee as a prospective opponent. In addition to Yelich, moustakas, Braun, Hiura have lingering nagging injuries and Hader has to be on fumes
-
Remember, I'll have $400 to spend on the talent richest draft this league has had since I entered it in 2015. Just because I cut a guy doesn't mean he's not going to be on my roster in 2020.
-
Mikey for the sake of your cognitive dissonance, you have to keep in mind that I'm cutting this entire roster at season's end, every last player. At this point in the season, my cuts have absolutely nothing to do with how I value players for the future, only how I value them for today and tomorrow and maybe the day after tomorrow... literally. If you want insight on my future valuations pay attention to my Capped FC team. The player in question is still very much on my Capped FC roster.
-
I love when owners drop players who just a few weeks ago they were lecturing me about how stupid I am for not being willing to pay a premium for.
-
Astros vs DC would be a great WS
-
Astros will beat Yankees again in 7
-
I think Nats will take Dodgers to 9th inning or extra in 7 games..coin toss who wins. The Nats are reaching their potential. other than pen, I don't see a weakness
-
Oh I think they could have a tough time with anyone. Theyโre still a year or 2 away from peak Braves. However, the Nats are a terrifying playoff team. Iโd much rather play the Cardinals, Cubs, or Brewers. Of those 3, sure, Brewers would be preferable, SL least preferable, Cubs in the middle.

The braves worship in here is sickening
-
They aren't the 2005 white sox who went 11 and 1 in playoffs
-
Stop drinking the Braves kool aid Jim Jones, and be impartial!
-
I think Braves would have tough time vs cardinals
-
Minus 42.9, thatโs barely half a Fiers. Brew, 5 game series, right? Braves are closer to the Dodgers than Cubs are to SL. Iโll take any of the central teams over the Nats, though itโs all a crapshoot.

Conversely, DC does not want Mets on a 1 game series , as they can pitch degrom . DC would not mind seeing flubs or Phillies or d backs though
-
Iโm more worried about the Dodgers tanking to avoid the Natio...er, the wild-card winner in the first round.

Gravy, If I were you, I'd immediately cut Fried like Hook did with Fiers.
-
I'm rooting for the Brewers to overtake them both!!
-
Cubs are non clutch feast or famine team, hoping to eek into playoffs and lose 1 game playoff vs. A much better Nationals squad. If I were a Braves fan, I'd root for Cubs to over take St Louis as it's a much easier match up.
-
Max will have to go some to catch Fiers. This looks like -40-something?

If you suffered through as many Cubs games with lead off doubles and runners on 3rd with less than two outs squandered, you would sorely welcome a contact hit for average player. As opposed to happ, caratini etc striking out. Especially after DC swept you with hits and hits and steals and baserunners all series.
-
Don't look now, but Fried is currently doing his best Michael Fiers imitation!!
-
I am not high on Nico for fantasy, nor Madrigal , but I used Albies and DJ to illustrate that surprises do happen with playing time
-
Nico is not as advanced as Albies , very short time in minors. He is only up because both Baez and Russel are hurt , and emergency SS Bryant has a tender knee. However , if he keeps hitting he could bump Zobrist and Bote to the bench for 2b at bats
-
Little Max throwing BP to the Phillies tonight.

I was confused because you seemed to be saying Nico should not do that (the โeven in these daysโ note). Maybe I misunderstood that. Anyway, I thought Nico was already a swing-change guy, at least compared to his college swing? Also, the HRs werenโt there for Ozzie in MiLB, but they werenโt a complete surprise. His line in AA (2016; note these guys are the same age), .321/.391/.467, was quite a bit better than Nicoโs.

Hoerner is an upgrade over shitty ian happ, however
-
Same view I have of Madrigal
-
But not Trea Turner the 2nd
-
I view Hoerner as a faster Starlin Castro
-
Hoerner had 3 hr in 310 pa at R and AA. So to pull an Albies would mean he suddenly starts hitting Hr 3b and 2b at a level he had not shown in college or brief milb career.
-
It means get find power HR stroke at majors after not exhibiting any such power in minors. Should be fairly obvious the refrence
-
Dude had 8 SBs in 70 AA games this year. Caught stealing 4 times. Bar for โgreat speedโ seems to be coming down. What does โpull an Albiesโ mean?

In the Benintendi vs. Meadows sweepsteaks , right now its reached his level beni 722.20 and upside Meadows at 821.40
-
Renfroe = POS
-
Maybe Hoerner can pull an Albies though, who knows. I was one of the many herd who thought DJ Lam wouldn't get full playing time or be fantasy relevant outside of Colorado
-
Nico Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a triple and four RBI in a 10-2 rout of the Padres
-
Watching DC in person, who has 3 viable lead off hitters in line up , made that completely obvious.
-
Niko Horner ( not good for fantasy but great for Cubs) 3 for 5 and great speed , is what Cubs have been lacking. Even in these days of power and launch angle and 3 outcomes, you need a lead off hitter.
-
That incident also gave me my first clear look at what the future held for this league, as Belichick, er, Kevin immediately snapped Fiers up. After all he was just doing his job.

Kristian Robinson maybe? As for a Fiers, good. I hope he goes on to beat that record. Iโve hated that guy since he hit Stanton in the face in September 2014โIโm sure that cost me the title in this league (I also feel bad for Stanton).

I hear some Bat Hombres are trying to enter the country from the Bahamas...
-
I remember when he was an Astros, he gave up so many long balls, like record setting level
-
Holy Shit, Micheal Fiers just threw a -75.5 point inning
-
Such cynicism!
