I'm stuck with that part and if I am being fair, it's hard to argue the deals were made with any other thought in mind beyond screwing with the integrity of the league. It comes down to two things for me: 1) I can't come up with a valid reason to keep the trades other than the fact that I like what I got in return and 2) I can't honestly argue the trades, as a whole, don't hurt the league and make it very challenging to get a owner willing to drop $100 for a serious rebuild over several seasons.

Unfortunately that is what makes this situation complex. In Coco's example it would be clear moves were made without the consent of the actual owner. That's not the case here. Much like Chico, my conversations with the guy involved some back and forth. I'm not sure at what point a new owner becomes an "official" part of the league, but I also I can't explain why the guy seemed to sort of care about the return in a trade on one day only to turn around the next and cut most of the guys h

League-mates (insert your response here) because the hacker that made those trades was never an official part of the league. Additionally, Sheriff threatens to boycott the league because his team is in such bad shape after the trades; as such, is in jeopardy of playing with 11 teams. Let's have a thought experiment. Trade Sheriff's computer is hacked and he loses control of his team. Hacker makes trades that are not blatantly awful, but likely favor one side. Fellow league-mates are ambivalent because, in general, a trade has to be particularly one-sided to warrant a veto. A week later, Sheriff, being a computer genius despite getting hacked, overthrows the hackers and re-gains control of his team. Sheriff petitions the league to have all of the transactions reversed

I'm against reversing the trades, too. I sent him a lot of offers that he rejected, so it's not like he was just blowing it up completely on purpose. But definitely add the players back that he cut.

I made a trade with him but would be ok with reversing, definitely the cuts at least, but yeah I think that roster is in even more trouble post that guy

I vote against reversing trades. That's a slippery slope. We all already had an opportunity to veto each trade. All but one trade had either 0 or 1 veto votes (one trade had 2). None came close to being overturned.

Well looks like a lot of people want the trades reversed. I personally agree that they should be since, like a fraud said, they were made with a ghost. Unless someone has a :strong emoji: objection to this, I'll attempt to get the reversals processed on Thursday or Friday

I'm pretty sure the guy didn't even consider his budget. That makes the trades egregious imo.

the trades should be reversed and definitely not up to the opposite owner in each individual trade as SPH suggests... we essentially made trades with a computer.. is it fair to the new owner that the team was fire sold by a ghost? I realize it could be a lot of work for our commissioner but the future inheritor is not getting a previously owned team given its current state its just a myth

It's hard to say. Stranger's theory is certainly possible. Just as likely the guy is just an ass who got bored and wanted to screw around for a couple of days. I'd totally agree Ottoneu should have something in place requiring money up front when taking over a team in an established league, particularly those at the high-end entry level.

I just don't understand why someone would go through the trouble to do this. His drops should sinusitis be reversed and the trades souks be up to the people with whom he made them m. I also didn't think they were egregious so I'm ok with that either way.

I think that the trades should be reversed. My guess is he did this in several other leagues and went with the team he thought was best. I was excited about the trades I made with the coward too.

Agree on restoring the cut players; it might help with attracting a new owner, though the team is still going to be a bit of a trainwreck. I'm torn on the trades, but see the value of having a conversation about them. Trying not to be selfish since two of them were mine and I was definitely pleased to unload several guys I did not intend to keep.

I feel like everything he did should be reversed since he was essentially a "fake" owner. Even though the trades seem fair for the most part, I think they should be reversed as well
