I dunno, if buehler comes back as normal walker buehler, that guy at $5 is worth more than Olson at $29, I think. If he doesn’t come back as the same guy, then I probably win the deal. It’s a risk on both ends.

Again, just interested in the dialogue to see if I was missing something. I don't think either trade was a good trade, but if all the parties involved are good with the moves, then I appreciate the thoughts and I'll recalibrate my valuations!

Not making accusations of nefariousness, just was having a hard time rationalizing the returns. A top-3 reliever for a guy well over avg price putting up under 4 ppg--catcher eligibility notwithstanding--seemed like a stretch. And take minor pieces out of the other deal, the #2 1B (and an easy top-5 points league bat this season) at an under-value price--plus a cheap top-5 prospect on the cusp of a call-up for a guy coming off TJ is a stretch no matter how you spin it.

On one end, hader doesn’t look keepable at $22 and apparently Hats for Bats like Melendez, who’s still catcher eligible next year. On the other end, $3 Buehler could be an elite keeper, depending how he comes back, brash and Alzolay are similar, and a few other things for mainly Olson who’s gonna be at least $29 next year. I always have a side I prefer in any trade, but I genuinely don’t see any issue

always appreciate non-combative discourse! on the one i was involved with, i was seeking help at RP and H4B was more interested in keeping a hot hitting 24 year old with prospect pedigree and C/OF eligibility than hader at that price. on the other deal, if each manager thinks it makes their team better i'm cool with it. and i think that's what went down.

Thanks all for voting! To free up your calendars, Im cutting potential draft times to 2 options. Friday 3/24 @ 7pm ET is the clear frontrunner. I heard from AoK and he can make this time work, which gets us to 11 available. The dark horse is Thursday 3/24 @ 8p ET. Only 7 have indicated availability for this time so far, but nobody has indicated they are not available yet, so no reason to close this option yet. Draft day update: With 7/12 managers sharing availability so far, the best scenario we have are 2 slots where one of us can't make it. I just added one more option for the last Friday evening (3/24) before opening day (3/30) in an effort to see if we can find a time everybody can make. For those that have already voted, please indicate if you can make it to 7p ET/4p PT on 3/24 as well. The sooner we can confirm a date/time the better. Thanks!

I think the last few years we've drafted on the 3rd weekend of March, which has seemed to work best for most of us. Though we always offer an alternative. I'll be traveling the last weekend of March so have added March 18th and 19th as alternative dates. For each date I have included 3 times that should accommodate people from coast to coast (1p ET/10a PT, 4p ET/1p PT, and 7p ET/4p PT). As always, your flexibility in selecting all possible options is GREATLY APPRECIATED!
