Sometimes it just hits you that you come home every night and immediately hit the bar, and then it is 11:30 and you never left the bar...
-
Sorry Squirrels. I was seeking advice about trade values.
-
Crap! I keep doing that. I think I have a serious drinking problem.
-
I got a couple offers for Altuve. One is just prospects, and I don’t know if it is worth doing that again. Squirrels does not have enough to offer - he is trying to offer Chavis on his own which is not worth much. I want Albies but he does not seem to be available.
-
Anybody else interested in my players before I regret trading for prospects again this year?

Who is going to start their fire sale first?
-
Currently 6 open roster spots around the league, and 6 players up for auction.
-
Sale wasn't throwing 97mph yesterday. More like 91-95. For some reason on pitches that are hit the velocity comes in higher. And he was rearing back on the 95's with no command on the extra effort. His slider is coming in 3-4mph slow as well. Something is wrong with him. You are 800 points out, time to sell.
-
That was actually still less points than he got in his two previous starts... and Flaherty had more negative than Sale had positive for me today :(
-
Sale has now scored positive points for you this season. Small victories!
-
Chris Sale working fast and coming in at 97 MPH on the gun in New York.

Vegas Baby's trade block has been updated!
-
Jose Ramirez, Francisco Lindor, and Chris Sale take up $134 of my salary and have gotten me 36.4 points this season.
-
Red Sox pitching makes Chris Davis look like Khris Davis.

Goodness. Relievers have been a dumpster fire this season.
-
I have no problem with the 10 day DL players taking up a roster spot. I think the problem is minor leaguers not on an MLB 40 man roster don’t get put on the 60 day DL, so you can’t really carry injured prospects easily in Ottoneu. But that doesn’t bother me much.
-
Winnetka - My 2 cents is that I think the rosters are big enough even with the 10-day IL. It isn't that much different than the old 15-day DL. The downside - more guys on the IL - are offset by some upside - more useful guys on the waiver wire. I think it can also help long-term league parity. If a team is trying to win this season, they may have to roster a couple more mediocre guys to cover those 10-day IL stints. That leaves more prospects for the teams targeting next year.
-
Damn it wrong league, toggling leagues while walking to work on my ipad.
-
Wow! A 2% owned lovely lady sniped away by cash!

What is everyones’s thought on the 10 day IL in regards to us not getting an additional roster spot?

I could use help at C, 1B, SP, RP, and OF (pretty much everywhere but MI and 3B). Whoever decides they are rebuilding first usually gets the best deals since there are a lot of contenders now early. I’d pay FV for CV.
-
The Hunter Greene TJ is not getting a lot of press.
-
Ita vero, Spa City. Paenitemus meum.
-
Et tu, Winnetka?
-
It's nothing don't worry. I just wanted to grab a hot bat but he just got hurt anyway so I saved somebody money on him.
-
But whn I am a jerk, I apologize. And I was being a jerk. I apologize. Nothing against any rule, and nothing malicious... Just venting.
-
I apologize Vegas... Forgot this was the public board, not IM... I got frustrated with repeat sniping of bids you didn't start. Not against the rules, just kind of grates on nerves when people don't start bids but repeatedly sign players they don't seem to need after others start the bids.
-
Same annoying tactic. But Vegas seems all over the place. He is not going to win, but he outbids us on guys like Tulo and Beckham. Graham's (mainly due to $600 cap space) is a contender.
-
What do you think Spa City, Vegas Baby = Graham's Newbies?
-
In the 4th inning he finished at 89mph. Squirrels, you have to be somewhat concerned.
-
He has a lot of innings on his arm, with high pitch counts, awkward mechanics and high velocity.
-
I'll bet the Red Sox front office is at least slightly worried. In Ottoneu, all contracts are 1 year. But the Sox are heavily invested in Sale...
-
He also only threw 9 innings in spring training. I'm not worried yet.
-
Chris Sale was all over the place, and 91-93 is not impressive velocity. He wasn't just "off", he was a mess.
-
Well that was a rough first day for the Squirrels.
-
Completely agree!!!
-
Happy Opening Day. Should be a national holiday.
-
I assume it is service time management, no? When on the 60 day DL, players accrue service time. But I am guessing. Not sure why else they would hold off.
-
I wish teams (like say the Yankees) would put guys (like, oh, perhaps Didi Gregorius) on the 60-day IL now and stop waiting for the season to start. Everyone has known he would start the season on the 60-day IL since last year, so why keep waiting and waiting? Arrrghhh!
