I also still have Freeman available as well as Stanton and Donaldson who are both on the IL currently, but could give you a good push in September.
-
I want to deal Hoskins and/or JD Martinez before the deadline. Will eat salary to get them off my payroll. Best offer before Sunday night wins. Hoskins is stable 6 pts/game bat and JDM has had some struggles but may get hot.
-
Same as Spa I have relievers to sell in Pressly and Treinen for any contenders. Little over 7 P/IP each and Pressly should have more saves down the stretch.
-
If any contenders are looking for RP, I would sell any/all of my bullpen. RP does me no good in last place, and I am more interested in clearing roster spots and cap space than making a stretch run to maybe finish in 10th place if I am lucky.

Thanks for the clarifications.

Correct.
-
I think it is only a coin flip in the offseason right? During the season ties go to the team lower in the standings don't they?
-
Winnetka, that proposed rule change has been discussed over the years on the Ottoneu community board. It is not an option available as a league setting.
-
I propose a rule change to get rid of the coin flip rule in deciding ties in free agency. I think it is just that the tie goes to the team that made the initial first bid.

Plus the fact the Slobber is only 8 points behind you in the standings so he won all of them!
-
Jedi Mind Trick
-
Crazy - Slobber and I had the exact same bids for all 3 auctions that just ended. What are the odds?

Anyone need 1B? I have 4 first baseman all with over 5 p/g.
-
Second thought - I cut them. Figured they were all probably 2022 callups and too expensive to carry at their prices. Sorry to vacillate - it is just so boring this year.
-
I can’t carry this many minor leaguers, and am looking to trade several. I would rather trade them now rather than over the Winter mainly out of boredom. In 12th place there is not much else to do. Anybody on my trade block is available. But I’m open to other ideas also.
-
Oof -37.33 points from Newcomb today for me...
-
I agree. Benintendi’s swing looked terrible in the summer camp, before the season started. He looks like a different hitter. If the minors were a thing this year, they could use an option and send him down to work on his swing. He still has all 3 option years left.
-
Man Benintendi has been one of the saddest parts of watching the Red Sox this year. He just looks lost at the plate right now. He has such a pretty swing, but right now everything just looks off for him. It is like he isn't seeing the ball at all.

One of Squirrels all time favorites on waivers!

Through 17 games my SS position has scored 1.4 points.
-
Every move I made has gone bad. Hit me up for deals before trade deadline gets here in a couple weeks.
-
I lost another starter and reliever. My team is cursed.
-
Daniel Murphy with a homerun in the 8th saves me from the second day out of 3 to have negative offensive points.
-
Does it drive anyone else crazy how much of a negative HR are against pitchers? Bauer is absolutely dealing in his start and one barely over the fence solo homerun just destroys his p/ip for the game.
-
If anybody is interested, I would trade anybody or everybody on my trade block for 1 or 2 quality players, and I can include loans as needed.
-
My team stinks. Every move I make turns out bad. All my pitchers got hurt. @^#^&$*$&!!!
-
On the bright side, you qualified for the Ice Cold badge with <0 points and at least 10 starters. https://community.ottoneu.com/t/ice-cold-badge/2297 You were not anywhere close though to my all-time, all Ottoneu FGPTS record of -12.2 with a 12 man starting lineup.
-
Today my lineup scored -0.90 points and my bench scored 36.3
-
Cespedes has now opted out of the season.
-
Yoenis Céspedes did not report to the ballpark as of game time on Sunday, when the Mets were taking on the Braves at Truist Park. A statement from general manager Brodie Van Wagenen said the Mets tried to contact him, but their attempts have been unsuccessful.
"He did not reach out to management with any explanation for his absence," the statement said.
-
No for the most part I was referring to Mad Dog Russo and Casey Stern from MLB Radio. I love Philly fans. I've been to your ballpark and a funny thing happened when the umpire made a bad call against the Phillies. The fans booed loudly for 30 straight minutes, a full inning and a half. That same weekend we went to a UFC ppv and a big fight broke out in our box.
-
Cespedes isn't going crazy and probably isn't going to, but I think its reasonable to be excited about a guy as fun as Cespedes being back actually playing and has at least hit a couple homeruns.
-
??? How would Phillies fans best be described? I would love to know.
-
For the record, I am a Phillies fan who would love no more than to see the Mets fail. So when you were referring to Mets Fan on a previous post I hope you weren't talking about me.
-
Mets fans are awesome, they are so capricious. The MSM loves the Mets almost every year and I love it when they suck and they turn on them. Am I watching the same Cespedes? .161/235/387. Going on 35, has difficulty running.
-
I hope Cespedes bounces back - he is fun to watch when he is at his best. But hitting a HR off Matt Barnes is not much for a major league hitter to brag about. Barnes looks awful this year.
-
I have Cespedes for $4 in another league and I can't give him away. 11 others making a big mistake
-
Yeah I am glad I added Cespedes on every team I have.
-
I am struggling to stay positive this year. Gin and tonics help a bit. But to watch a 2020 MLB game it takes quite a few.
-
Speaking of positive...Cespedes is having a nice year.
-
When in doubt just keep it positive.
-
As a soccer fan in America, for decades I heard people trash talking a sport I like. It never occurred to me to like soccer less just because other people don’t like it.
-
But I bet there are millions of baseball fans who are finding it difficult to watch this year.
-
I didn’t mean to prevent you from enjoying MLB. I hope my lack of enjoyment doesn’t hurt your enjoyment.
-
If you don't like watching MLB then don't watch it. I enjoy watching it so please don't rain on my parade. Thank you.
-
My son’s 10U game last night had over 100 fans. No face masks. Everybody was having fun. Like sports should be. Until MLB is fun again, I just can’t make myself care. I don’t even follow the standings, let alone watch any more games.
-
My daughter’s 14U softball tournament this weekend had several hundred spectators. No face masks. Everybody is having a great time. It is fun. Watching MLB games this year just isn’t fun for me - at all.
-
I don’t believe the MLB season will last more than another week. It is pathetic to watch the games. It just isn’t fun to watch masked players in empty ballparks. And the constant flow of opt outs and positive tests makes me think they will have the excuse they need to shut this farce down.

ESPN's lead article is that the season could be cancelled as soon as Monday if coronavirus cases aren't under control shortly.
