Anybody want to trade? I'm really looking to move a $24 Justin Upton and/or $27 Matt Harvey. $7 Drew Smyly, $9 Wilson Ramos, $5 Yangervis Solarte, $5 Cam Maybin, and $9 Daniel Norris would move for something minor yet keeper-worthy.

i agree. :-) though i guess a $10 betts and $15 seager made more inviting arb targets--younger and less inherent risk with position players than RPs. what i didn't quite get was the person who allocated $3 to a $6 joey gallo.

I guess that makes sense. Still, at $9, Miller has to be one of the top values in this entire league, especially since holds & saves are counted.
-
fair question--mookie betts and corey seager absorbed most of the arb dollars ppl allocated to my team

I confess, as an ottoneu newbie, I don't know much about the arbitration process, but how did Andrew Miller escape with only $1 arb award this year?

Speaking of which, I still have a very attractive Clayton Kershaw ($62) on the block, as well as Neil Walker ($15); Cody Allen ($12) and one Aroldis Chapman ($25). I doing my research, these are all players that are basically worth their prices (or a little bit upside). Certainly for someone these must be an improvement...
-
You guys hit me hard in arbitration. I had to do something!!
-
Sugary Drinks, do you have any of the same players on your team that you started the offseason with?
-
I run two traditional rotisserie leagues. The leagues have been in place since the year after the original book was published in the eighties. They are both keeper leagues with ULTRA component and while not dynasty, prospects and minor league draft are always fun. The team fees are$500 for NL team with trade and contract extension fees, AL is $350 base fee. Would be great if any of you would like to join. We have openings in both. Draft is live in So.Calif, first weekend after opening Monday

If someone wants to trade me an affordable SS, let me know. I have excess OF and (to a lesser extent) SP.

Just so that you know: I took all the bottom-feeders off my trade block, because there is anyway no interest in those. We all know that in the end we will just cut them and redraft.
But I also left a couple of guys up there with real value: Chapman, Kershaw, Rizzo, Matt Carpenter. These are guys that offer solid value, but I cannot roster all of them all at the same time.
So if you are interested in making some win-win deals, involving players with real value, let's try to work it out

Any interest in Matt Harvey? Ryan Braun? Justin Upton? Dexter Fowler? Wilson Ramos? Mark Melancon? If the answer is "yes" to any of these, inquire within!!

Always disconcertingto make a deal with Sugary. He almost always has the right side. I think Beltway still needs to make a donation because of Garcia so I know why he's siding with me. :)
-
:-) much will depend where he ends up and on the injuries that either or both of them might suffer during the year.
-
hard to believe saunders is already 30 yrs old. like his side of the trade better than garcia, though.

i know it can be frustrating to send a guy offers in the offseason and not get a response, but i don't see it as something that merits kicking someone out of the league.

i hear you, though it's also a balancing act in terms of giving people enough space to live their lives. the standard i've followed is that, as long as owners meet the major deadlines (viz., arbitration and the keeper deadline) and set their lineups at least once a week or so during the season, that's enough.
