Tough break on Cano, Schrimpf. At least you're getting Turner back.
-
I'll take a crapshoot like Hanson over just plain ol' crap like Neil Walker.
-
Whirling Darvish's trade block has been updated!
-
ah, the annual alen hanson auction. a traditional rite of spring, like tulips and robin eggs. hard to believe he's still only 25?!?
-
If acquire all the 20 y/o that can't drink, they aren't able to do what Jayson Tatum did last night to 76er's, and derail the process.
-
Process, quit sniping my mediocre prospects that can't even drink yet
-
You should claim him on waivers just to be safe, until this Bader-Hader mystery is sorted out
-
Trust The Process's trade block has been updated!
-
Danger: Wildman's trade block has been updated!

Dang! That was Bader who was dropped, not Hader.
-

How about Dylan Bundy and his minus-68 last night?
-
Opposing teams should pay me to start Rich Hill.

MLB teams should pay me to acquire and then bench their players.

Chad Green giveth and Chad Green taketh away
-
I certainly think Bregman is higher up on dynasty lists
-
looks like Soler finally figured it out, nearly six years after i first picked him up.
-
I like Story, but I'm not sure many would rate him above Bregman.
-
Story and Cano are arguably the 2 best players in that deal and they went to the same side.
-
I should write a blog called, "How to turn your young, dynamic squad into a bunch of overpaid 30 year-olds, in five easy steps."
-
Et tu Chad Green?

Shaw From Shi-Nola's trade block has been updated!

Whirling Darvish's trade block has been updated!

Mostly agree with Harm, though he should really aspire to more than finishing ahead of me.
-
I have zero interest in playing in a money. Just don't buy the argument it makes it "more fun." I've played in money leagues and there's always some bitching about rules infractions. Just think back to last year's trade discussion -- this league would have ceased to exist if it was a money league. I like this set-up. It's interesting, fun and very competitive. That's all I need. And just finishing ahead of DichAyes and Whirling would bring immense satisfaction.
-
In roto it's easy enough to make money stakes optional as well. Highest finishing bettor would win. I would probably opt out, unless it was small.
-
Dave No problem just was curious about the history of the league not interested in you dropping out of the league fine the way it is. Chuck

Chuck, in terms of the money, this has always been a non-money league, and I personally am not interested in adding money stakes. We have the voluntary charity bet, which I've opted into, but that's it. If other people feel strongly about making this a money league, we can put it to a vote, but I would drop out if did. --Dave
-
No one's disagreeing -- I see now why it's gross -- it just needed to be clarified.
-
PS I am the one who proposed this system last year.
-
It is NOT net loans, it is GROSS incoming loans. This is absolutely key to the arb coupon system.
-
Matt Carpenter's final game for me was the most Matt Carpenter line ever: 0-2, BB, HBP.
-
OK, I was just confused in part because I'm unaware of this league having any rules beyond the ones we discussed this offseason. I agree that putting those down in a document is probably wise, as I've had to dig through the chat logs a couple times.
-
Shaw, that's the thing... we all have different experiences and have lived with different rules associated within the larger fantasy baseball world. That's why it's nice to have things written down. I received my answer, i.e. nothing's written down beyond the recent coupon rule change. The Ottoneu operational rules are published. What I was asking for was just a handful of league specific guidelines.
-
Dave has this been a league were this is no money involved any thoughts on making this a league were we actually pay the winner and 2nd place a check would make it more interesting and something to play for not just bragging rights. Chuck

re: commissioner powers, i don't think the commissioner has any powers? he just does the legwork
-
sorry, that was worded terribly. unanimous mid-season changes is the rule in all the leagues i play in
-
i've never played in a league where mid-season changes didn't have to be unanimous.
-
You can’t possibly spell out every single thing in a charter. Or at least I don’t have the patience for that.
-
I mean, it’s commonly accepted that you can only change rules mid-season with a unanimous vote.
-
As for the charter, I was thinking more about commissioner powers, rule change process, etc. Never been part of a league that required unanimous votes on changes, nor specific windows for rule changes. Is there a general Ottoneu charter or guidelines for managing a league? I haven't seen it within the community section.
-
Flipped him for an ace—nice trade! Also, I ❤️ Mookie.
-
Poor Corey Seager. I didn't even give him time to shit shower and shave, let alone unpack his bags.
-
No, but that’s a good idea. We could formalize the other rules, e.g., no reauction and recutting, no trade vetos, etc. I can add it to the arb coupon doc.
