That is good, but also...not
-
I got more production out of my SS spot yesterday than I had for the entire season up to this point.

Pshaw. Tim Anderson is averaging more points per game than Vladito. I say 4 Bags makes the kid earn his spot.
-
Actually, 3.54. I read it wrong. Still...
-
4Baggers production at Util has been 3.11 pts/gm. Vladi cometh.
-
Ah, haha—that happens to me at least once every yr.

Because I don't have enough infielders. Wasn't accounting for the fact that I dropped Gurriel.
-
Because he hit a triple yesterday?

Ah, shit. I should not have dropped Arcia.
-
I could consider moving Machado ($29!!) for some elite talent. Quality over quantity. Preferably OF/SP. Feel free to make an offer.

Yeah but he's about to turn back into a pumpkin. Velocity is way down this year. Might just be lucky so far. And the Tigers have been way lucky to give him this many save opps.

apparently i shouldn't have cut shane greene

940 points, 3.46 points/IP
-
By far the biggest shortcoming in this format for me is pitchers getting docked for HRs allowed. Kikuchi's best outing so far (6 IP 2 ER vs. Boston on 3-29) is his lowest-scoring start in Ottoneu points, because he allowed two dingers. Can't imagine how 1986 Bert Blyleven (an MLB record 50 HRs allowed) would have fared in this format.
-
*second
-
I will say, one shortcoming in this format is the lack of effect from unearned runs. My boy Taillon has a bad line but he had to get six outs in the third
-
Regardless abt how one feels abt it, we did pass the rule prohibiting that practice.
-
I don't believe it should be frowned upon, though. Let managers manage their team with the least amount of resistance possible.

Surprised he recommends cutting players, waiting the 30 days, and getting them back at half their value, a practice that (rightly, I believe) is frowned upon in this league.
-
Hi Everyone—ICYMI, Trey posted a helpful article on Ottoneu tips and tricks. https://fantasy.fangraphs.com/ottoneu-tips-tricks/
-
The downside being that you have to watch the Os.
-
Regular season Os seats are actually cheaper than most spring training tickets.
-
We had to pay $30 tickets for at least one game. Mostly we bermed it but MLB is gouging the shite out of everyone at every opportunity now.
-
Also why are spring training beers $13? That seems wrong on so many levels
-
Add Jameson Taillon and Joey Lucchesi to that. I picked he wrong day to not log in.
-
I guess he's listed as 6'2" but he seemed more like 6'4". Or maybe my vision was blurred from too many $13 beers from the stands.
-
Shaping up to be a day of great starter performances from the bench: Morton, Peralta and Castillo so far. By the way, Astudillo Nights and I saw Luis Castillo at a Spring Training game and boy is that guy tall and throws hard.
-
Of course, TTP had a bunch of afternoon games and ruined my joke.
-
Hey man, sometimes you have to admit when it's a foregone conclusion.
-
Sure you are.
-
Hey all, this has been a great season, but we knew how it was going to end. Killer Brew had a good early run, and I kept it competitive as long as I could. Since Camargo/Schimpf/Whatever has inevitably ended up in first, I'm ready to start selling my vets for prospects. Send me offers.

I'm going to need to see more. Berrios has had dominant games before, and the shadows with yesterday's late-afternoon start were unfair for any hitter facing him and Kluber. Don't get me wrong; Berrios has all the ability. But it remains to be seen whether he's there yet.
-
Just want to say how much fun it was to watch Jose Berrios pitch. Utterly dominate yesterday. Twinkies have an ace on their hands. And in the fantasy world, I see Chris Sale sucks and I'm back in my mid-table position.
