I just did an analysis of all the MLB farm systems based on Rotowire's updated top 400 prospects and the Padres system sits as by far the worst. Even you add back the players they traded it would still be in the bottom six. Milwaukee had the top farm system, and it wasn't close, even if you take out Misiorowski.

The Acuna trade was a negative loan as it limited Winnetkas spend in the auction. The Jac Caglianone trade was a 50 dollar loan, so 20 dollars more than the loan to grizzly but Jac Caglianone was/is higher hitting prospect than Sebastian Walcott (who I do still like longterm)

I gave you a 34 dollar loan. I made 2 trades with Winnetka and yes I loaned a lot of money but he gave up the top LHP at the time and one of the top hitting prospects that qualifies for 1b/of

Grizz had 16k last year. I’m new obv but Looks like a good strategy for quick rebuild is to take high salary players on loan to try to win from teams that feel they are out of it. Of course you can try to get all the prospects and try for years but I feel like a lot of those guys don’t pan out.
