I'm going to weigh in here as an owner rather than as a co-commissioner. I don't think the Otto rules say anything specific about what merits a veto, but in my opinion a trade really needs to be outside the competitive spirit of the game to get one. Cubby has made some moves that had me scratching my head in the past... and then he dominated all last season. Personally, I don't think disagreements on player valuation should merit a veto. Lets not make a big deal about this though.

I could choose to remain anonymous on my veto, but since you asked and reason through everything like I do, here it is. While Machado netted 3 MLB ready prospects, an established 26 year old Machado at $39 ($7 under his avg value) is far more valuable in my opinion. I see your point of a potential regression but it is speculation at this point until we know where he signs. I may be too high on Machado, but this is my opinion of it. If Machado signs in a big ball park, my opinion would change.

Will be interesting to see where Machado signs. He didn’t do himself any favors with his antics in the postseason.

Machado simply put is a career .820 ops in one of the most friendly hitters park. $39 for a player that very well could regress to under an .800ops seems a bit pricey.

If thought the return for Trout was fair. Four major league ready keepers at very low salaries for a $67 Trout, I didn’t think twce approving it.

...he's rejecting them, take it to a PM to see if you match up. 2) Don't be a dick. Don't like someone's trade offer? Politely decline and let them know you aren't interested in dealing. Don't like a trade that happened? Vent elsewhere, people do have different valuations and I've seen lots of trades I thought were nuts pan out. This is a game. Yeah it costs $20 and our tie so we all don't want it to be a shit show. A bad trade here and there isn't don't to throw off the league.....

Alright, obviously there is some tension lately over trades, so lets set some ground rules. 1) Be considerate of others time. I've gotten more messages than I care too count from people about "trade spam" this offseason. We all have lives outside of fantasy baseball and no one wants to be constantly signing in to reject offers from the same person. I'm not going to suggest any "x per day" type rule here, but in general if you're sending a few offers a week to the same guy

Meadows was #1 for Pit before being traded to TB. If you think the Trout trade was bad how in the world do you justify the Urias for Machado trade???????? Machado at $39 isn’t even expensive and he is young.

Aparently the Braves and Rays #1 prospects are secondary pieces. Someone is a little salty. 4 inexpensive players under 25 with a ton of upside for the most expensive player in the league.... I’ll say it again, everyone values players differently and has different strategies.

Any league where a trout is being traded for secondary pieces... is likely a league that needs owners to look at the trade thread. FYI vlad is avalable for Kirby yates!
