  • **GERRIT COLE DROP- Niv Shah is working on correcting the issue with the Cole drop. It appears the penalty free cut glitched and allowed WIP to cut Cole without the cap penalty. Be on the lookout for the correction

    Here is the response from Niv:
    "Since the cut happened on 3/9, the waiver claim period has already passed. I can remove Cole from his current team and make him a FA again and re-instate the cap penalty / min bid of $10. I will do that shortly."

  • I have contacted the administrator about the Cole cut. I have no idea how the cap penalty and claim period failed to initiate. I will revert back when I get an answer.

  • We get to the same result likely (Although there is some risk WIP doesn't get his money back and Cole sits at $10 for the max 30 days before WIP renominates in a worse case scenario).

  • So probably going to come off as a stickler but why was Cole allowed to be released without waivers running and the owner getting his full money back? Assume "WIP" didn't know about Cole's TJ but bid 20 by accident, similar scenarios have happened before. The resolution should be WIP cuts Cole, Cole is then put on waivers for 20 dollars and then if no one picks him up then he can be auctioned at $10. My issue is really with the price setting mechanism by the league, Cole probably gets

  • March 9th - 6pm ET draft date appears set with no conflicts. Mark it down in your calendar, as we need all 12 managers live in the draft room. Draft date should appear on the home page with the time adjusted for your time zone. We should have final cuts in by tomorrow with the full draft pool available to study by Thursday. Looking forward to getting the season started!

    Monday - Thursday 8pm (ET) or later
    3/7, 3/8, 3/9, 3/15, 3/16 7pm (ET) or later.

    I can probably be free some other times as necessary but evenings generally work best.
