Urbina's Farmhands's trading block has been updated!
-
Yeah, it would switch to 5x5. Well, I mostly agree with the reasoning against that though. It's nice to have a different set of rules sometimes.
-
and i joined this league specifically because it wasn't standard scoring. i hate 5x5.
-
We can't just add SB and a corresponding pitching category. We would have to switch entirely to the 5x5 system which is standard scoring.

i dont think so. same as changing the arb process, if we did i would have wanted to know about it long ago.
-
So...trades are in.
-
The Billy Hamilton trade raised a thought, does want steals to become a category?

And I really don't want to re-draft. The appeal of this league to me because of the lack of monetary reward is the ankle-grabbing I did in year #1 to set myself up for year #2 and my other plans for the future
-
I emailed Rewind, Gits & Slump concerning their status. Whomever I do not hear from by next week I will declare them abandoned.
-
Sorry I've been missing. I'll be back and more active this coming season
-
lol
-
Sure...NOW you guys are all about the 'acquire young undervalued players'...where the hell were you when I was fighting to keep Trout? ;-)
-
Yeah, one of the big attractions of this system is acquiring players for the long term. It'd be a shame to throw all that away. It'd also be unfair to teams that traded for prospects this year.
-
i didnt mean to shoot you down. its just that i love this format because you can stay active all year round, so i dont see the point in calling it quits and redrafting in april. and sodo demonstrated that new teams have no problem competing.
-
I just figured I'd toss it out there. Maybe help keep people involved.
-
I just figured I
-
my team may have sucked this year, but i've put way too much time in to it to just throw it away and redraft. that would be unfair to anyone who has been trying to acquire players under market value.
-
absolutely not.
-
if we're losing 3 teams this year and switching to dollars instead of voteoffs would anyone want to just redraft the league? It probably wouldn't be as bad as the first year when the system was crashing all night.

Yes, the Trout vote was great. Plus the Urbina's Farmhands epic tie.
-
Oh and hilarious on the Mike Trout voting Rye
-
I could write a book on why I voted the way I did, but most of my picks were the only one for that player. I think the only one I regret or maybe should've went the other way was on my Max Scherzer pick - I probably botched that vote
-
Ya I'll send another email, if I don't get a reply I'll just mark them absent. At any rate I'm pleased with the voting turnout.

interesting results. can we assume the gits, mouserats, and slumpbusters are no-go's for 2013?
-
I'm in for next year.
-
I'm in for 2013...but only if I can keep Trout. Just kidding , I'm in.
-
arbitration ends november 15. i was hoping we could look commitments now so if any teams need be replaced, they still have a chance to vote.
-
Oh and congrats Sodo, that's an incredibly high score to end up with. Makes it really hard to scratch points and attempt a comeback
-
And sorry I didn't reply sooner, I rode out the last month and a half on my phone browser setting my lineup.
-
And on the new rule I think it's only natural to keep the current system in place and switch next year. I do like the aim of the new system in what it attempts to do, I'm not particularly fond of outright having a player removed with a $5 compensation.
-
I'll send out feelers for next year, I know we stated originally that people should know by Thanksgiving or so whether they're playing the next year or not.
-
ya congrats, sodo. your team is stacked. that being said, do we have any idea who is not returning for next season? im counting only 6 teams that have voted on arbitration so far (sodo, hot mess, djib, ghost man, rye bombers, and uf).
-
Thanks! And thanks to the commish and all the managers for a fun season.
-
Congrats to Sodo! Thanks Domo for taking charge, it was a fun year.

Congrats Sodo. Once you took the lead it was dominance until the end of the season.
-
I vote to keep the old system, but I'm not against the new system. But we should wait for next season before we change.
-
ya we figured it out. i was probably thinking harper.
-
Oh, and Trout went from original draft by Ghost man to Hot mess then to me all by trade...he wasn't voted off
-
although I'd love to change it this year so I can keep him! ;-)
-
I'm not against changing it for next year. I'm less whining about losing trout than the structure that forces it. If we can change going forward that's great
