$9 received from Kevin for a running total of $291 carryover for next year.
-
Mikey do you take Venmo for luxury tax payments?
-
In one-third of an inning pitched—as a rate that’s -100 pip. Makes Desclafani look like a legitimate mlb pitcher.
-
Trevor Gott -33.3÷ as a rp

I feel bad about missing the late switch, but feel good about adding Mills in April. Got to move quick to add Cubbies in this league.
-

Would it have killed Disco to give up another half point, to get to the hallowed -50 game score?
-
If any wants to kick the tires on Mookie Betts. He is available.
-
Spencer Howard up and starting game 2 today
-
Happens every year.

So is Ottoneu awarding points for results from the Florida (or Pennsylvania) prison softball leagues now?
-
Maybe you had Hoskins or some other Philly or Marlin as your U guy, and those teams just didn’t play?
-
Should be you can play batter there. If you have the "Bench position players that are not in their MLB starting lineup" option selected, that player needs to be in the starting lineup.
-
I have a dumb question - how does the Util spot work in this league? Do games only count if the player is an actual DH? I was looking at my games played projections, and I only have 3 games played counted at Util. That seems weird.
-
All set.
-
Please don't bid on the duplicate Grayson. I claimed Grayson off waivers, but when he didn't show in my lineup I selected him as a free agent and started an auction. Now Grayson has appeared on my roster, but a duplicate Grayson is in auction. I've logged a bug with Niv, so I expect the auction Grayson to disappear.

Nelson Cruz 13$ contract was a steal
-
It does give everyone a year to get ready for the windfall year.
-
Sounds right to me Mikey. Although that makes 2021 a lot more valuable of a year. So $600 available to win this year. Next year seems like a very pricey year. Not sure there is anything to do about that though. Maybe suspend the luxury tax this year?
-
Just to confirm, we have $282 leftover from last year; this money will be carried over to next year. This year’s entry fee will be paid out to the top 4 teams per the rules, and the cap penalties from this year will also be carried over to next year per the rules. Is all that correct?
-
I view the two leagues oppositely, to me this one’s the truer dynasty league. I barely think 60 games makes for a season, so I agree that if the season isn’t finished, no champion should be crowned.
-
I vote normal arbitration here, as I view this league as a go for it every year league, and the other as more of a dynasty league
-
The other thing we need to be in agreement on is what happens if this season does get started, and maybe even plays over half the season, and then gets cancelled. Niv has indicated the prize pool can just be carried over to the next season, and no champ be declared, which seems to me to be the right approach. Like, I’m not gonna argue that I’ve won if I’m ahead 40 games into a cancelled season.

Looks like we’ll arb as normal here. I’d rather just keep the cap rules as close to normal as well, so let’s go with $425 hard cap until Aug 14, which appears to be the 1/3 mark, at which point, luxury tax applies. Sounds like everyone is cool with just planning on last year’s luxury tax sidepot being shipped forward to 2021.

I would also vote normal arbitration here. Seems like this league is supposed to enforce "the spirit" of ottoneu, so I would think that means normal arbitration. Cap proration seems fine, but so does hard cap all year. I am increasingly in favor of rolling all side pots in both leagues to next year, even as a contending team in both leagues. I just don't see even a 60 game season going off smoothly.
-
Over here I vote against arbitration; regarding the cap, for simplicity’s sake, with such a short season I’d vote for a hard cap with no loans, but if people don’t want to go there I’ll support a prorated system that someone else is willing to figure out and track during the season; regarding payouts, I vote for paying out 50% of the pot, rolling the remainder over to next season, and rolling all funds from last season over to next season.
-
I'd go with pro-rate anything that's schedule-based and stick with regular rules for anything that's a pain to change or oversee. I'm fine with regular arb for this league. It's supposed to be a no-loopholes league, so regular arb seems like a good hard-to-handle challenge for everyone.
-
As far as the cap limit schedule goes, makes sense to me we just pro-rate it, and since we are typically hard-capped at 425 until 1/3 of the season is done, we lift it this year after 20 games. So I guess until all teams have played 20? Figure we’ll wait for everyone to weigh in on arb and then count the votes on that part of it?

Over here I vote we arb as normal. I also propose we only play for the half of the side pot over here. We roll last years luxury tax and remaining side pot over to next year. I also think this years luxury tax should be 50% less and rolled into next year.
-
Seems like we need to make some decisions concerning the dates of the salary cap and luxury tax, along with prize payouts. If hitch is dealing away contracts, we need to know how that works with the rules.
-
Isolation is starting to get to me. Looking to trade Nick Madrigal and Jesus Sanchez for a low end, but useful player. Any interest?
-
Shit, nevermind, momentarily forgot this is the league we can’t mortgage the future cause there’s a cap on what we can buy. Moving on to other conventional leagues where I see myself a contender...
