Okay, this year's winnings have been sent. Sorry it took a little long; things have been been a little busy lately. Congratulations
-
If I had known that rule, I would have tried pretty hard to finish 9th in both leagues.
-
I'll put together a nice sixer for you Hook. Email me your address please.

We pay out 50/25/15/10 so that looks correct to me with all tax penalties rolled to 2021. 5th through 8th get to protect one player from arbitration, 12th owes 9th a six pack.
-
I believe this year's payouts are: Adam - $300; Fred - $150; Jeremy - $90; Kevin - $60. Can someone please confirm or correct this? In the meantime, winners please message me with your preferred method of payment. Thanks
-
Can we just shorten the name to the "Jobu Clause?"
-
I support having a Pedro Serrano rule, regardless of its actual content

Thanks for digging that up. I totally agree.
-
Sorry, spacing didnt preserve. I just copied Commish's pre-season statement and added the last sentence. Decision was arb as normal.
-
Second losers on July 8, 2020 4:08 PM: Looks like weโll arb as normal here. Iโd rather just keep the cap rules as close to normal as well, so letโs go with $425 hard cap until Aug 14, which appears to be the 1/3 mark, at which point, luxury tax applies. Sounds like everyone is cool with just planning on last yearโs luxury tax sidepot being shipped forward to 2021.
So we arb here as normal, which makes me think we do everything this offseason as normal.
-
If we are arbitrating and protecting, I would guess that means we are implementing our full suite of custom rules. Including the 12th place penalty?
-
I like that

I would agree with that. Pedro should not be protected in 2021, no matter what team he is on. The record keeping won't be too bad, only 4 players a year. We could append a table to our league constitution google doc for easy tracking.
-
I really like that tweak john. Makes sense that you cant keep protecting the same player over and over. So thinking this over what if Team A protects Pedro in year 1. Then trades Pedro in year 2 to Team B. Team B should ALSO not be able to protect Pedro. That way each player can be shielded from arb only once. It would require more record keeping - a google doc - but would not be unwieldy. Thoughts?
-
Thinking about our incentive structure and arbitration, I would like to propose a tweak. I would suggest that players should not be eligible for consecutive years of protection. For example, if Team A finishes 8th in 2020 and chooses to protect Pedro Serrano from arbitration, Pedro Serrano could not be protected again in 2021.

I traditionally shy away from aged veterans, who I deem as plataued or on decline. However , at the right price, tremendous value to be had.
-
Congrats to the winners. I enjoyed the short season.
-
I had the good fortune of having Nelson Cruz and Abreau fall into my lap on draft day for a combined 25$
-
Thanks for the great season! We should do the frantic final week again next year.
-
The cellar dweller pops his head up to claim 11th place on the last day. Yay me!!
-
Also, woohoo, ninth place!
-
Congratulation Schmegs! That was a great finish, I don't think we've had so many teams in contention in the last couple weeks since year 1.
-
Congratulations Schmegs. Great final push to win the ring over a highly competitive field.
-
Congrats Schmegs! Nice season. And Fred, you too!
-
Congrats Schmegs! It was a wild last few weeks and your consistency rose to the top. This version of the RBGs is bummed to not have second. Good job to Fred for holding everyone off.
-
The race for not last is on! I'm coming for you Suaves!!!
-
I would have gotten away with too if it weren't for you meddling kids!
-
The infamous Mikey go over innings gambit that he deployed to beat Jeremy year one
-
I'm always on the watch for these little schemes people try to pull off
-
Idaho thought he was going to add all these Sunday last day SP . I sniffed that plot out and blocked all but Freeland
-
Im still in stunned disappoint over my poor managerial decisions and the rainout that wiped away 40% of my over innings day. Oh well, too little too late. Why didnt the season end last Sunday?
-
Welp Kev got screwed by rainouts, and Iโm getting uninspired starts, so I think youโre cruising. Not sure what Fred is doing

It's Hitch's day to move too.
-
All of those SPs and this is Kevin's day, if he's moving up it's now or never.

Hendricks gets no hype, but is > than Syndergaard, Harvey, Cmart etc...
-
I hope this and other leagues have finally thrown in the towel on CMart , who will be 30 nex year . All big name hype , and injuries and subpar performance , stints in MILB . Years ago he was offered usually by Charles, as some great trade chip . Ive learned ( except for a few astute GMS) in my 4 years , league perception of a player is more important than how actually good he is .
-
Four within a hundred points. Whew it will be an exciting week!
-
You can tell it's a tight race because two of Kevin's RP just gave up HRs and his team drop two spots in the standings. Gonna be a good final week!
-
Holy shit 3 Rockies being auctioned At one time has to be some kind of record

Sorry, $332 for 2021.
-
$41 received from Jeromy for a running total of $330 for 2021.
-
Yep. Every dollar not that you spend, but that your cap increases, over $425. My payment to Mikey for my last two deals was $41. Not that it makes sense when that money doesnโt go into this pot, but wth, fff

Could some one refresh me? The cap penalty start at $425? I don't have access to the constitution until tomorrow night.
