I don’t see a problem with the trade. The only thing I would contend is that any trade of Milb players will be concluded after the Milb draft is over as to not open up any MIlb roster spots til the draft is over. Any trades involving the 40 man are free to take place under ottoneu rules. Everyone ok with that?

I second that. No issue with the trade, just wanted clarification on the milb roster lock timing.

I vote to let the trade stand, no change to the rules, and just settle up the milb players after the draft.

Valid point and I wasnt thinking about the milb draft when I accepted. Could we keep the trade as is and have the 2 milb players go to whipping at the conclusion of the draft?

Just want to clarify... I was under the impression milb rosters were locked until after the draft. The trade that was just accepted would indicate that isn't the case. Zod - can you confirm? Does this mean we can still cut and/or add milb players to 40 man?

Ok seeing the post I think we can bid on players up until midnight on 7-31. After that draft order will be set. We will start the draft on Aug 5.

Here are some other rules we decided on ia ON chat. All in Zods words.
no MILB players can be drafted during an MILB draft (Or put up for auction)
Guys MILB drops can be made up until we draft
every year it should be that the draft order will be reverse of standings after 7/31. 1-12, 12-1

We established last year that all players are available for auction up until the start time of the auction. I vote for allowing tbst to happen this year just like last year.

My vote is to let owners bid on anyone until the rosters are locked.

I vote leave players (crews, Skenes,etc) on teams that paid then update rules season to prevent any 2024 draftees to be auctioned prior to the in season draft held in august.

I don't have a strong preference, but agree that we need to formalize things this off-season. In the past, we've only restricted MiLB-eligible players from being auctioned during the draft, not before the draft begins. So it seems to me like it should stand. But, again, no strong preference on my part.

In the past we have held the offseason minor league draft after the auction draft so people could roster minor leaguers if they wanted. My preference would be to stick with that philosophy and give people the opportunity to bid on recently drafted guys.

I don't care very much, but my opinion is that this should be written in the rules in the offseason if we want to make that rule. right now, this situation is not addressed in the google doc at all, so we should let crews stay on the team.

Opinion from the league: Crews was bid on and is a 2023 MILB player. League thoughts on bidding vrs milb draft? My opinion is any 2023 player should be drafted and not bid on but that is just my opinion. Please log a vote and we can amend the rules to reflect what the league decides. If we vote the MILB way I will remove Crews with no cap hit. If u guys want to leave the bid option in place that is fine as well.

Not sure whose roster he's on, but Grayson Rodriguez just eclipsed 50 innings in the majors with his last start and thus needs to be added to the 40 man roster.

Concerning MILB draft. It is in the Rules and I think we start Aug 5 or so with a MILB draft. Anyone not in the Ottoneu player pool I will add to our MILB sheet til ottoneu can restrict them.
