I don't have an objection to removing a single player to get him to 40, but I don't think that he should be able to cut more than that. As far as a rule for next year, then I propose that making penalty-free cuts to get under 40 or the cap should be allowed, but you can't take the roster under 40 (i.e., if you miss the keeper deadline, then you can't participate in the draft). Only exception is if someone takes over the team between the keeper deadline & draft or a truly extenuating situ

Personally it's not a huge deal to me. Just let him choose a player he wants removed within the next 24 hours and then you remove him.

I would like to have a league vote on a violation for a team that does not get under the cap player/salary by Jan 31 deadline. This rule if passed by all teams, would be for 2020. The ottoneu rules do not cover violations for the cut date. Open to all ideas please post or message me on your thoughts.

Rule Vote. I am sure Altuve didn't know that the roster had to be at 40 man. He is under the cap but his roster is at 41. Any objections to removing a player to make his roster legal. If so send me in a private message your objection and a league vote will be taken to address the issue. If no objections are filed by Feb 3 I will remove the player he wants for his roster. The player name will be requested as soon as I speak to him and held til the 3 or a league vote.

Draft Day Feb 22, at 8 PM est. It was the best time for everyone. Some guys have multiple fantasy leagues that conflict with some of the March dates.

One benefit to doing it in February is that then the "no trade" period is only a few weeks. That is, we can't make trades from the keeper deadline (01/31/19) to the draft. If there are unexpected developments during spring training, then we can uses trades and FA signings to address them (as a real team would).

Just some information rosters will lock after Jan 31 cut date. The rosters will open after the draft. Hope to get a possible draft date out for vote by next week. Anyone with any restrictions please post so we can get a possible date.

I'm in Germany working, so the only thing that matters is the time. A Friday or Saturday would be best for me since I am 6 hours ahead of EST time. So if you drafted at 7p.m that would be 1a.m for me. So please no weekday nights.

I'd also prefer late Feb or early March. I'm on the west coast and would prefer mondays, Wednesday's or fridays after 5pm PT. Or weekends I'm usually open.

Yeah, let's get something on the calendar. I've got drafts March 1st and 2nd as well as March 19th. Otherwise, free most nights/weekends. I'd prefer to do it on the earlier side (i.e., late February or early March).
