I had a question and just to clarify all MILB players not on the restricted list or on a roster are available to be drafted tonight. See everyone for 7.

All minor league players can be drafted in tonight's draft. Any player not drafted that has minor league status can be drafted in the MILB draft which will start tonight after the regular draft. It will start based on last years finish with the last place team picking first. All players on MILB roster will be added to the restricted list. See everyone tonight.

Look who is back! The new owner and former Champ. Glad to have u back. Let me know on your cuts. Take your time u have the option to add Turner and Jensen back on the roster if u want.

Message sent to Niv: League 979 has an owner who took over a team and paid for the 2022 season. He hasn't made any cuts prior to the deadline. He also hasn't responded to any messages or emails concerning his situation. Do I have the ability to refund his money and find a new owner? I agree that this situation is not a good one. The problem I have is that he paid for 2022. I agree with WH on a lot of points he is making but I don't want to be the person who removes a paid member from the league because of inactivity. Let me do this. I will contact Niv to see if he can refund his money and try and find a new owner immediately.

Let's keep in mind that he only logged on one time since November. If we were talking about an owner with any kind of track record of activity in the league, the long leash would make more sense to me. By leaving it alone until after the draft, we're missing our best window to add a new owner and doing a disservice to the new owner by not giving him a chance to reshape his roster in the draft.

With all due respect, I disagree with that approach. I understand it isn't an easy call, but I think it's important to have an active owner managing that team for the auction and MILB drafts. That roster is carrying ~$100 of overpriced players. Having a ghost team during the auction draft will likely have the effect of deflating auction values, which is not good for the integrity of the league.

No word from Eephus. He is paid so we should probably at least go thu the draft. His roster is full at 40. He is under the cap. I know the situation isn't ideal but the guy paid so I think we should at least give him til the start of the season to make an appearance.

U can trade MILB players and picks right after the regular draft ends. U can't go over the 10 MILB spots tho so if u make a trade that puts u over the 10 spots U have to immediately call up a player or drop a player from MILB roster. This year after the MILB draft we can have a second MILB draft at the all star break to fill in any spots of guys who were called up. Stay safe and understand Zod is getting a title in 2022!

I tried again today to make contact with Eephus so I hope he gets back to me. The draft is a go no matter what happens in MLB. The MILB prospect draft will start right after the regular draft ends. U will get 12 hours to make your pick.

Looking at a time line for Eephus lets give it til March 1. If he didn't pay it would be a lot different but he paid so I would like to hope we hear from him by then. As far as the cuts, in any event U have to be legal in my opinion because it is not fair to the other teams in the league who made cuts to get under. I took two of the top salaried players and removed them so the team was legal. This was only done after several attempts to contact him.

Just saw that to get legal Trea Turner and Kenley Jansen were dropped off of Eephus. Now, I'm all for having a shot at one the top players in the game and a likely closer (if they ever get to sgining again) but seems less than likely that who Eephus or the next ower would have dropped those two. Were there other options we considered dropping?

That's understandable. I agree that we should be flexible if there are personal issues. I'd be more inclined to be patient with that possibility if he had been engaged most of the offseason and then disappeared suddenly, but he wasn't even logging on during the offseason. Giving him another two weeks to respond would put us at March 4th with the auction on March 6th. That's a pretty tight window to find an owner...

I would like to give the guy a little time in case the vid has him down. How about in two weeks if I don't hear from him I will put out a vote to determine what we should do? I will have a decision in place a few days before the draft in case we need to find an owner. If he didn't pay I would be more aggressive on the move. I just want to give him a little more time in case he is sick or something happened.

Like Zod I'm concerned the guy may have personal matters he's dealing with in which case I'm all about flexibility. And so I agree with Wandering that we need to set a line that is comfortable for the league and then enforce it. I'm ok leaving the decision to Zod as commish. Maybe we say two weeks from today? Important that we find another owner, give that owner time to make cuts, and then get ready for the draft.

Can we give him a deadline and abandon the team if no response by then? I understand he's paid, but no activity all offseason, missing the cut deadline, and failure to respond to repeated contact attempts should be grounds for removal. Can we put that to a league vote or something?

Eephus roster was made legal today. I have made several attempts to contact him and have had no luck. I hope everything is ok. He is paid for 2022.
