• FWIW, Niv has canceled an auction of Suzuki (in League 1022) because he was determined to be ruled eligible in their MiLB draft. So if the league decides to let the pick stand, then we could ask him to cancel it to avoid complications.

• I understand both points and it seems like we have agreed to let the bid process determine the ownership of Seiya. We can make a rule to address this situation once the the draft is over. If we had no objection I was going to let LG claim him but since it seems like at this time it might be unfair to the league I think we should let the bid process go thu. Please post if u object to the course of actions and I will put it up for a vote.

• Apologies for the triple negative in the first sentence. To clarify, I agree that he should be ruled ineligible. We should amend the rules to clarify that the player universe is frozen at the start of the MiLB draft or something.

• Right, I don't disagree that he shouldn't be eligible. But by the literal application of the rules, it's the auction that should be canceled since we're not allowed to start auctions during the MiLB draft for MiLB eligible players. And he is eligible given the plain text meaning of the rules. I'm fine with not getting him via MiLB draft; I just made the pick to remove the possibility of someone else taking him in the last round of the draft.

• Pretty obvious this is not the intent of this MILB draft or the rules. If we need another reason, the player was not in the universe when the draft began so is ineligible. If we need yet another reason, an auction is already underway for the player.

  I have an inquiry into Zod regarding whether he is eligible. By the literal interpretation of our rules, he fits the four eligibility criteria now that he is part of the Ottoneu universe. However, it doesn't seem fair to allow him to be drafted at this point in the draft. But since McGibb could jump in at any point with a pick, I'm picking him in case he is ruled eligible. Happy to repick if not.
