TCB u have a full milb roster. Anyone with a full roster will be skipped and the player next in line will be up. Drops or call-ups can be made til noon.

I'd like to make the following MiLB moves to open up 3 spots on my MiLB:
1) Promote Ezequiel Duran to the 40 man roster
2) Cut Kristian Robinson
3) Cut Gabrias Arias

We have to decide the draft order. I am thinking every year it should be that the draft order will be reverse of standings after 7/31. Thoughts?

It is my fault we didn't have the ML draft last year. I should have had it last year during the break but I think a few teams were just getting used to the ML system and were not ready to have the draft. Hc and Wh are both right in making points for and against the ML draft this year. If everyone is ok with having the draft starting on Aug 2 that sounds like a good idea.

How about this for a compromise? We have the draft, but wait until August 2nd (the signing deadline for 2022 draft picks is August 1st). That gives enough notice for anyone who wishes to auction a prospect they're willing to carry on their 40 man roster, and it avoids the confusion of having a stream of newly eligible 2022 draftees being added to the FG player pool while the draft is ongoing.

Thats irrelevant. The rules were posted, a player is asking they be honored, and the rules should be followed.

He posted the rules before the 2021 season, too, and yet there was not even a mention of a midseason draft during the all star break from you, Zod, or anyone else.

Zod posted the MILB rules on 2/14/22 before the season started. That doc said we would have an MILB draft around the all star break. Lets not get into the habit of changing rules on the fly.

If it was a hard rule, why didn't we have a midseason draft last season? I don't recall anyone even mentioning it during the all star break last year. Why would everyone just assume it's going to happen this season because it's in the "rules" if it wasn't even mentioned last season?

I am going to go over and post the rules for everyone to review. If u have an opinion after reviewing the rules please post it. I am sure we can work something out that everyone is ok with the decision. It would just be to fill Vacant spots on your Milb roster. Get the rules out in the morning.

If we want to change the rules we should vote on it after the season not in a mid season decision.

b. The July MiLB Draft will commence on or around the MLB All Star Game. In order to participate in the June MiLB Draft, a team must announce cuts to their MiLB Roster by the Sunday before the MLB All Star Game.

I think we should stick to the rules. That was the original plan and there's no reason to change it.

I do think we had it in the rules, but I have to be honest I dont read the rules til I need to resolve an issue. I would want everyone to be ok with doing anything mid season. I purpose we do a mid season draft starting at the all star break in 2023. The regular ML draft will be right after our league draft concludes. Everyone ok with this?

I like the idea of doing a midseason draft, but I don't think we should do one this season. Even though it's in the rules, this would be the first time doing it for this league, and it wasn't even mentioned before the season started. I think this is too short of notice. I might've handled my roster management a little differently if I knew there would be a midseason draft... perhaps others would've, as well. I would be in favor of implementing a midseason draft for next season and going forward.

Right. That's what I thought. I think we should stick with the plan and draft. Assuming we do, when would our MILB roster lock?

The rules have it set up for a mid season Draft. Is everyone ok with doing a ML draft to fill in your vacant spots? We can start it on Monday.

I do have a objection to it. I was thinking about picking him way earlier in this draft but I didn’t believe it would have been fair. I honestly like the idea of him being posted on the bid board and letting the process play out. In all honesty this guy by no means is prospect, that’s why he will be starting in the mlb opening day lineup. So I didn’t view him as a eligible player to be drafted during this draft. But whatever the league decides I will live with.
