A batter might hit two HRs in an inning and earn 28 pts. But on the downside, he might strike out twice in an inning at get -2. A pitcher might get 3 K's and a save and earn 18.4 points. Add a dropped third strike for a 4th K would even get him to over 20 pts in an inning. But a pitcher has no downside limit except for the mercy of his manager. Case in point, Kenley Jansen of the Angels with -45.57 pts in 0.2 IP. Just glad I wasn't watching it live. OUCH !
