Profar, Pro Good's trade block has been updated!
-
At least I know my pitching is OK. After all, who else can drop Jose Fernandez and not think twice about it?
-
If my team is any indication, bench players are actually SUPPOSED to score more than the guys you replaced them with in the lineup. It's some sort of law of physics.
-
This team of mine....*sigh*
-
If, on a daily basis, I have more hitting points on my bench than in my lineup, does that mean I have a great bench, or that I suck as manager?
-
Oh, Clayton Kershaw at home against the Padres? That should be awesome...
-
SABR Rattled's trade block has been updated!
-
Note to Self: For next season. Try pitching. It acquires more points than no pitching.
-
I'd like to point out that I made that comment *before* Herrera managed to net me -42.77. Yep. Minus forty-two point seven seven.
-
I think I should probably get some sort of award for mis-management of my pitchers. I need to quit sitting the good performances and accruing negative pitching points :/

Deshields will be Quite Operational's trade block has been updated!
-
Hahahahaha...if he can't hit for a league-average BABIP, at least Quentin can help me pass Dave in the ottoneu standings
-
When Kemp gets his suspension, he and Hanley can take the 1/3 of my team salary they represent and go have a nice dinner with the time off.
-
How could any dislike of the Padres be irrational?
-
Thanks. I'm looking forward to the day WHEN Kemp starts hitting baseballs instead of Padres.
-
Fuck Carlos Quentin. I already had an irrational and baseless dislike of the Padres, but now that they've done something to hurt my fantasy team, it's on. Matt Kemp and I are on the same page, I think.
-
I have no idea what that "when" is doing in that previous message. Please ignore or feel free to appropriate it for a correspondence of your own.
-
The suspension for deliberately injuring a player when should be that you have are suspended for as long as they are on the DL.
-
Giancarlo Fernandez has a great ring to it.
-
I wonder what Jose Fernandez will change his name to in five years, when they find out he's four years older than he claims?
-
And (the wrong) Jose Fernandez finally gets the ax!
-
-23.7? Amateurs! Dan Haren can do that in a single outing!
-
uggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh in the last 3 days my pitchers have thrown 21 innings and earned me -23.7 points. This pain is unbearable!
-
I wish. If Colorado offered Betancourt & Trevor Story to St.Louis right now, I'd wonder if they wouldn't bite. Then again, Ryan Wheeler seem to be only a year away, though he doesn't have Adams raw power.
-
If you can steer him to the Rockies, I'll contribute.
-
I'm creating a Kickstarter campaign to purchase Matt Adams contract from St.Louis so I can sell him to a team that will play him everyday.
-
4 IPs today and ZERO home runs allowed! Regression to the mean, bitches!
-
SABR Rattled's trade block has been updated!
-
Every single one of my position players tallied a hit today (including the guys on my bench that saw action). I have no idea how often this happens for other teams, but it's a rarity for me!
-
Continuing a theme from earlier: the Astros have 13 runs and 14 hits through 4 innings. Brett Wallace is 0-3 with 3 Ks
-
Laroche really showed me for benching him today, didn't he?
-
Also, I'm not in first place. I can't think of a better indicator of small sample size than that.
-
As of right now, the Mets have scored the second-most runs in baseball. That is to say: it's early. A lot can change.
-
Early season assessment: Started from the bottom now we're here. (#9thplacebrags)
-
Early season assessment: I'm doing a very mediocre job of not sucking so far.
-
Aroldis Away, Aroldat Away's trade block has been updated!
-
I guess Ankiel is doing the hitting version of what he did as a pitcher earlier in his career.
-
Unfortunately for the Astros, Ankiel also has KO'ed 10 out of his 12 AB, and Carter is at 11 of 22. Kevin Goldstein has some serious work to do down in Houston!
-
Now in his fourth partial season as an MLB player, Wallace has never posted a positive WAR. -0.2, -0.6, -0.1, and so far, -0.4. C'mon Brett! You can do it!
-
Wow, I just noticed that Brett Wallace has 13 Ks in 18 PAs so far this year. Also, he's very weird looking. Poor kid.
-
Correct, you can leave positions unfilled if you want.
-
This feels like a stupid question, but: Daily lineups don't have to be completely full, right? I can leave a lineup position unfilled even though I have a player on the bench who could fill it?
-
So maybe your Jose Fernandez looked really good, but mine didn't give up a hit all day.
-
looks like you should have given more thought to your 'accumulate all the Cy Young Award winners' strategy, Nyjerz, you dope.
-
And then I look and see that you had Dickey, Price, and Axford and fared worse than I...ouch
-
You're telling me! I had Tim Collins pretty much score more in two innings today than did Verlander, Cain, and Sale. Today was supposed to be my catch-up day!
-
My pitching staff has a gopheritis problem. I knew we shouldn't have moved the fences in over the offseason.
