After looking at the new doodle poll it still looks like the best day to do the draft is the 23th because it's the only day that doesn't have multiple owners who can't make the draft. Genitals if you need help finding a proxy just let us know and we can try to find a person who can draft for you.

I have drafts on 3/15, 3/20 and 3/24. I can do any other day.

we can discuss changing the draft to another day but if I remember correctly the 23th was the only date that worked for everyone. I'm able to draft on the 18th at 9:00 pm central time.

Even though the goal has always been to do a standard auction, I thought it would be only fair to discuss doing a slow draft. However, it's clear that some of us aren't that comfortable with doing a slow draft because we have many questions/concerns (honestly you can count me as one of the owners who aren't comfortable doing a slow draft), so we are just going to do a standard draft.

Just to be clear the league has not decided to do a slow draft. We are just discussing it as an option because we all don't live in the same time zone. Also, I believe a start time of 6:30 or 7:00 PM eastern time for a standard draft on 03/23 could work for everyone in case we decide not to do a slow draft.

My main concern with the slow draft is that it can change the draft strategy having more than 1 player on auction at the same time.

If the team in Japan can do it whenever day we choose (and we already had 10 for one day), surely there is no need for a slow draft. If someone cannot do a draft no matter what day we choose, how is that fair to everyone else? Making a special exception and kinda ruining the best day of the year doesn't make sense to me. Plus, it benefits the teams with the most money.

12, 24, 36 or 48 auctions active at the same time sounds pretty bad to me... but maybe I'm just reacting to the unfamiliarity of it. I joined the mock to give it a try. (Hope you are feeling better, David!)

But regarding the claims about keeper decisions and the nature of bidding in the respective auctions, I really don't see how there would be any discernable strategy difference. Surely it's more likely to make impulsive bids in a live auction, but what else is there to it? at the end of the day your specific budget and needs, etc. do not change

I personally like the Slow Draft idea, but am just as happy to do it live. I doubt it will take that long it's just a matter of agreeing on a time.

just a heads up, i work this weekend so i apologize if i don't respond in a timely manor. I saw Cup's and Firmament's concerns and will address them later tonight, if anyone has any suggestions about their concerns please feel free to offer them to league.

If one knows it is a slow draft, then having more $ would be more beneficial since teams don't have to make quicker decisions. Thus, it is a different strategy/approach on borderline players.
