Looks like the draft is still active even though we're all out of there. Any chance we can get it closed, so we can start auctioning?

T-minus 60 minutes!
-
Or Saturday March 13 works too.
-
Probably ought to get an auction scheduled soon.
How does Monday night March 15 at 8pm eastern sound?
-
Hey everyone, sorry I've been out of commission for a bit. I'm back though, and I just sent out an email with regards to scheduling the auction. Also, I think we may have a team open, so if anyone knows anyone who wants in, this is a long running league so please pass it on.
-
A doodle poll could be good way to coordinate an auction date, just a suggestion
-
Are we going to set an auction date?

Just wanted to share my observation that daulton varsho is well on his way to becoming the edwin jackson of our league. 5 teams, 4 trades since August without going to the waiver wire
-
Hope everyone had a great holiday! I'd also be down for sooner rather than later, but also it might be smart to hold off until we know concretely when the season is gonna start? But that might not be a dealbreaker so I'm good with whatever.
-
I'm down the sooner the better

Do we have a scheduled auction date yet? If everybody is down to do it relatively soon it could make for some good pre-season trading! I know I’ve been hesitant to make significant moves until I know the result of the auction...although some others are booming!

Hey oh! Merry Christmas and happy holidays!!! Hanukkah Sameach for those who may have celebrated earlier this month. Hope you are all keeping well! We have snow here which helps to get in the festive mood! That, and spiked eggnog. Now on to our annual viewing of Christmas Vacation. Do any of y'all have a favourite Xmas movie? Here's to a happy and healthy 2021 and a full season!

At the stages of best and final offers for Hiura and Glasnow! Feel free to send along an offer or two.

Hit me up if anyone wants a flyer on Correa, Baez or Howard at their current salaries, looking to offload them for a lottery ticket or a depth piece.
-
Sorry for the radio silence. All votes have been submitted. Cheers!
-
Congratulations to the Champion, and the other trophy winners!

Any last minute takers for Freeman? Good production at not a huge $
-
Looking to move Soroka before the deadline, let's get a deal done.
-
Looking to flip C. Santana, preferably for a catcher but not strictly. Willing to eat salary to get something done.
-
Looking to move Sonny Gray for a couple young bats or a bat and an arm. Send an offer if you’re interested!

-
Hey all! Arenado is getting moved soon if anybody feels like making an offer. Stay safe!
-
Hey y'all, just want to say sorry for disappearing without logging off at the very end there--I had a phone call pull me away from the computer. Anyway, open season on Trout and Lindor now!
-
The players voted off, the restricted free agents, are normally auctionable players. If you want to bid on one, select that player and hit "start auction" and they'll go up for auction at their current salary. Important to note that if you win the bidding on your RFA, you'll get him at $5 less that price
-
When are the players that were voted off available for bidding?
-
I'll email this out, but I changed two things. First, the draft time was set to this coming Saturday, April 4, at 7pm Eastern time (4pm Pacific). Second, I changed the time we hav to vote on trades from 48 hours to 24 hours (those are the two options). If anyone has a problem with that, let me know, I can always change it back, but in my view there is hardly ever a call to veto a trade, so no reason two wait two days instead of one. One week to the draft!!

Sat works for me.

I'll mark it down before I schedule any more virtual drinks with friends.

Moving the draft to the weekend seems to be a good idea. Perhaps we West Coasters can do a Saturday late afternoon time? Like 4pm, which puts it at 7pm for the East Coasters. So, tentatively, how about 4pm Pacific time on Saturday, April 4th? Anyone have any problems with that date and time?
-
I'm good with having the draft sooner as long as it on the weekend or as late as possible during the week
-
Hey ya's! I'm totally good with moving the schedule up. A week from now works for me as it gives me some time to recharge my baseball strategy. :-)
-
BDWH: I get that. I guess my question would be, what about the season could be so different that it would alter our draft strategies?
-
Farewell to Kings emailed me to say he's fine with moving up the date (from where it is now) as well.
-
I'm a *little* hesitant to do it too early just because we have no idea what the season is actually going to look like--we're seeing things like 7-inning doubleheaders getting thrown out there as possibilities, so if we draft early we should be prepared for the possibility that some people might get screwed a little. But I don't feel SUPER strongly about it and am happy to go with whatever the majority wants.
-
PP: sounds good. I'd like to hear from at least half the league before rescheduling for sooner. Please, everybody, weigh in on this! Is sooner, like a week from now, okay with you?
-
I’m on board for making it sooner. I think we’re past the window of players discovering injuries from the spring too. Also being home all the time right now makes it ideal to do it soon lol

Thanks, DD. I should've said so as well, and now I am: I'm flexible as well as far as date and time of day. In truth, I think I'd prefer sooner. We all deserve a spot of fun. Why not, right?
-
I'm pretty flexible these days. I don't mind doing it sooner, either. Whatever the group decides should work.
-
Hey people, any thoughts on when the draft should be? I emailed yesterday (should be in your in-box) but quickly, I moved it back again. I'm happy to have it sooner though. What do y'all think?
-
I know we've postponed the draft and I should be good for the 30th. The only thing I would add to the convo is if we did keep the draft on the 16th it means the sooner we can get back to wheelin' and dealin'. In any case, maybe this ends up working out for Verlander, Sale, and Paxton -- they can heal up quicker :-)
-
OK, I'll email this as well, but I looked into it and there are a limited number of spots for the draft (I think this site has limited capacity to run drafts simultaneously) so rather than cancel the draft and reschedule, I postponed the draft for two weeks. You'll see at the top of the page we are now scheduled to draft on March 30th at 9pm Eastern. That's a placeholder time to ensure we have a spot. Obviously we'll reassess closer to that time.
-
Delaying makes sense to me too. Who knows what everything is gonna look like when all is said and done
-
I'll wait to hear from more of you, but that's four votes for delaying which, the more I think about it, is probably the thing to do, so make that five votes.
-
I'm good with delaying, too.
-
I'm all for a delay.
