I'm actually working but I'm going to take my break at 9p. If I miss any noms after 10p please don't hold it against me.
-
I'm sure everyone figured this out already but I had the east coast / west coast times for the draft backwards. It's 9pm EST / 6pm PST. Sorry for any confusion!
-
Hey all -- a reminder that our draft is tomorrow (Monday) at 6pm EST / 9pm PST. And thanks to Coastal and the Second Order for letting us know you'll be late and we should get started.
-
Y'all shouldn't wait for me and my $8 either.

I’ll be a little late to auction but since I can’t bid on anyone pricey it shouldn’t matter so don’t wait on me to start
-
My big dollar players didn’t do much for me last year, so it was fairly easy to let them go. So, I’ve got a big budget this year - I just have to remember to not start drinking heavily until *after* the draft.
-
We have a wide variety of strategies going into the draft and the season -- from $8 to $235 available! It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. I also thought there would be more dropping of expensive players. Happy draft prep everyone. Or at least to those who have $$ to draft with! ;)
-
I think we're entering peak inflation times in year 5
-
I think I misread the draft this year. Most everyone kept their $40 plus players. Will be a different draft for sure.

That's why I kept Scherzer. I wasn't crazy about the $59 price tag but I could see him going for more at auction.
-
The bidding war for some of the premium guys should be insane this year
-
Well that wasn't too bad -- we have a draft time that works for everyone: Monday, March 2nd at 6pm PST / 9pm EST. Thanks to everyone for being so responsive with the scheduling poll. This league is great! And remember that the keeper deadline is in two weeks: Jan. 31st. After that, there's no trading or cutting of players until after the draft.
-
i should be fine for all dates
-
I'm good for any of the dates that don't fall on Saturday
-
Ahh -- the link would help:

-
OK -- Take 2: the first poll already has a whole bunch of days that don't work, and that's with only 5 people filling it out! So here's another go at it. I included A LOT of dates on this one (and eliminated some of the dates that don't work already), so please be sure to scroll all the way over and fill out everything. And note that you can say you can make it "if need be" if you a date is possible but not ideal. Also the time is set for 6pm PST / 9pm EST. Thanks!
-
Hey all -- Time to start the torturous process of finding a draft time. I picked a bunch of days over weekends in the second half of Feb and first half of March. You can choose yes, no or "if need be". Here's the link and thank you for filling it out! https://doodle.com/poll/wx5r89rhggph8eus

There are 2 teams (Nosotros Papayas and Chicago Cheesy Beefs) available in my other $20 FGPts. league, MVP Baseball 2005 (go to: https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/347/home). Like Dozens, this is a fun league with a great group of engaged owners. If you're interested, just go to the ON dashboard and click on "Claim a team".

Because Post-Hype has soooooo many arb worthy players that he didn't get hit as hard had he been on another team.

Clearly Scott Boras is not doing his job.

How is Gerrit Cole only $26?!?!?!?!

Love that there was a trade on the 1st day possible. What a league!! Expect a lot of action.

Good job finishing up arbitration, everyone! And glad to have everyone back and engaged for next year. Trading will be possible again starting in a week, and go thru the keeper deadline on Jan. 31st. And a reminder that you now can opt-in or opt-out of emails when trade blocks are updated -- all of the notification settings are under Profile in the upper right.

Not bad. All but one team has done their allocations.

It's on the top menu from the league page, on the far left. Also: https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/652/allocations

Here's to another great Ottoneu season in the Dozen Eggheads! It's been competitive every year and nice to see owners stay engaged. It's the rare fantasy league that can keep that up year-in and year-out. That being said, if you aren't inclined to play next year, I'd appreciate knowing sooner than later so that a new owner can make the important off-season decisions. Let me know and I'll be touching base with everyone individually in the coming weeks to make sure we're all on board for '20.

Thanks guys! Great season

Congrats to Train and everyone else who made this season extremely competitive, except, of course, for me.

Great down-to-the-wire pursuit by SF and Second Order of the Train! Still a long shot but it's making the last few days pretty interesting.

i like how tyler mahle is single handedly trying to give me hope

Classic Wrigley game -- wind blowing out to center at 20mph. The NWS should put out a weather alert bulletin to fantasy GMs when that happens.

Steven Brault just put up a -67.57 performance against the Cubs.

Fiers ownership % is nearly 70%. And the usual end-of-year IP requirements probably caused more teams to start him yesterday.

I posted on the Community page to see how Fiers' egg might stack up: "There’s only been one other pitcher in baseball history who has given up 5 HR in a single inning: Michael Blazek (07/27/2017). In that game, he actually pitched 2.1 innings and gave a total of 6 HR on 7 hits, but with 4 K and only 1 BB. Assuming I didn’t make a calculation error, that’s -87 points. But my guess is that no one would have had him in their lineup, whereas Fiers was started by quite a few teams yesterd
