Nailed it :)

I'm going with Pete over Vladdy in the final
-
I like Bell. . . over Yeich in the final.
-
I’m going to have withdrawals during the break......who’s everyone got for the HR derby? I got Pete the bat
-
Happy All-Star Break, everyone!

Sorry, that's projected I was looking at. Doh!

Re: limits ... Healthy Corey Patterson is now over the limit in C games at 117, right? From a June 4 message (not from me): "I messaged the commish the other day about the games/innings caps and he said we'll have to just track it manually. 1050 innings and 113 games (which would be 565 games for OF)."
-
Oh, I see it was truncated. Sorry.

Corrected link, not sure why that one didn't work: https://twitter.com/ericstephen/status/1146285934989778944?s=19

First time doing Ottoneu. I've screwed up two big things so far. Letting a lot of my $400 salary go to waste, and using up all my roster spots. I'm looking to accept trades where I take on high cost players and move multiple low cost players.
-
Gotcha, thx...

RE game/inning limits: yesterday evening I built a simple excel file to show a straight line estimate of games/innings played by day through the end of the season. For instance, by yesterday a positional player should have played 34 games and a pitching squad should have thrown 313 innings. I hope to translate that file to a google doc and post - or get someone to help with that - in the near future. BTW, Niv confirmed that there is currrently no way to automate this.
-
Yes, Beeks and Peacock were visible, and yes, since you cut them, they didn't show up on your list of waiver claims. Now that it is more than 24 hours since they were cut, they don't show on anyone's list of waiver claims.
-
Did you guys see Peacock or Beeks on Waivers after I cut them yesterday...I didn't, were they but just blocked to me since I cut them?

I clicked Veto.
-
Thx for the explanations guys, sounds like $$$ exchange was missed and the it wasn't quite ready to be completed as it was. Looks like guys will be able to get a Veto Badge out of it after this at least. I had one of my very first Ottoneu trades vetoed because our league of newbies (self included) hadn't quite understood/seen how the Loan System could be utilized. Ok.... let's Play Ball!

Sorry, no deception intended, I just clicked accept. And while I was happy to accept it, I won't lose any sleep if it gets vetoed. I was mulling over how weird it is that Justin Turner would be on my bench most games if I did that trade. But yes, I was (and am) willing to take a flier that Bell's most-recent half-season was closer to his real level than his previous 2+ full seasons. As far as Martinez $11, I could take or leave him; I'd probably rather have A.Garrett $2 anyway, though.
-
My rationale was primarily having not seen the $30 extra I was giving away in that trade. Sooo... VETO
-
I second Bat Flip’s request. Guys, can you give us a rationale? Thanks.
-
I'd like to hear the respective owners' thoughts before I start vetoing anything, but it does seem quite uneven.
-
I really don’t like to veto trades but this one will be hard not too.
-
Yea. Needs to be vetoed. Sorry guys. Hopefully 7 engaged owners here.
-
I feel a little baffled by it as well...

Am I the only one that thinks the current pending trade is ridiculous? A stud 1B and a new closer for a bunch of waiver wire guys.
-
That worked, thanks Steak!
-
Move an SP (Bumgarner, for instance) to your bench. Then move McKay straight to that open SP slot. The system thinks you’re trying to move an SP to the hitter bench, if an open slot does not exist.

I click on his position like normal but I only have the option of moving him into a hitting spot. The pitching spots are all grayed out.
-
Try to move him there anyhow--I don't think it matters where he's shown on the Lineups page as long as he has pitcher eligibility. If that doesn't work, maybe someone who had Ohtani last year can help.
-
So does anyone know how I move McKay to an SP spot? For some reason he's on my batting bench currently.
-
Ah ok, seems like that team has been red for a while, probably mixing up leagues

He just claimed Dereck Rodriguez a couple of days ago, so he seems to still be at least somewhat active.

At this point i assume that whoever had heathly corey patterson just gave up? i know a few people who might be interested, worth asking or nah?

Happy first month of league play! We're roughly a quarter of the way through the season...
-
I do the same
-
I don't know of an app. I use my browser on my cellphone to access the ottoneu site, which has a mobile mode.
-
Is there an app for Ottoneu leagues?
Finding it tough to get on my computer every day.
-
Strasburgh !?! This team misses Verlander...should have cut Springer instead back then.

Very onboard. I’m not leaving so I’d honestly pay now or whenever people want.
-
Ahhh... before the Arbitration Process begins is what I meant. That's Oct 14th. end of season is Sep. 29th.
-
I like it and would agree to paying in early. I would suggest tying the date to, and before the arbitration deadline. This could ensure highest participation in the process and give a new owner a good intro to the league. We will inevitably have turnover, just hope to avoid team abandonment and lack of participation.
-
I think something like that makes sense, that way if somebody is going to drop their team for some reason the new manager taking over would have the entire offseason to build their roster.
-
Gentlemen, I wanted to propose a solution to a potential, future problem. I have seen other leagues pay for the following year by a certain date (one week following the World Series seems to be popular). Would this help our league maintain its managers? Additionally, would this help the Commish to identify potential teams without managers and begin the search early? I have really enjoyed this year with everyone so far and would like to keep it going for as long as possible.

If you're interested, there are Ottoneu badges that you earn throughout the season. Several of you are in line for badges already. (Nurse badge, Free Lunch badge). See: https://community.ottoneu.com/badges.

I messaged the commish the other day about the games/innings caps and he said we'll have to just track it manually. 1050 innings and 113 games (which would be 565 games for OF).

Oh, I thought it was just an echo...

wow- i hit enter once. really

Is Niv going to change our max games played and innings pitched? I thought there was concensus to do that.
