• I wanted to give an explanation because the deal and subsequent cuts were so incompetent, it almost looked like collusion (Caimans give away a catcher for nothing to the 1st place team). I want to assure everyone that the Lucks negotiated in good faith throughout and that the responsibility for this screw up lies solely with me.

• Everyone is probably wondering if the Caimans can do math. Yes, I can, but apparently I can't read. After extensive haggling with the Lucks, I accepted a trade offer without a loan that had included in some previous versions of the deal. Never finalize deal on your way out the door to work. I didn't realize my mistake until the trade was processed. The Lucks have graciously offered to rescind the deal, which I will try to do with commish tools. I'm embarrassed and apologize to the Lucks.

• Gents. This appears to be an extended exhibition, not a real season. The idea that we add salary to our players after 60 games is not reasonable. This is particularly true for owners who took a bad team and tried to build it last year. Why should their young guys get whacked again? The Eckfords suggest no salary adjustments for 2021.
