• Eh... being a contrarian, probably, but what about counting all players instead? The key here is the lineup decisions are what was lost. So losing everything is double punishment. But if you assume you have at least a modicum of confidence in any player you've rostered, then it makes sense to assume you want those numbers. Who starts/sits is what makes up a large part of the game, but with that element obliviated then you'll take it. Right? And the joker who owns King Felix is still on the hook.

• Thanks Paul, for the heads up, but that's not what happened. All stats got counted from Friday, it's just that whoever you had in on Thursday was who you had in on Friday. E.g. I lost Garcia's shutout b/c I had him benched on Thursday and didn't move him into a SP slot until Friday. Good times. FWIW, Niv sounded truly apologetic on the blog. So there's that.

• I'm sure everyone has read about the database issue for all games on 6/12...if not, there's a note at the top of the page. In a nutshell, no stats counted on Friday for any team in any league on Ottoneau.

• I simply misread the name of the player I was trying to trade for. I would never intentionally trade a high-upside rookie for someone who is suspended for 80 games. Most leagues I play in would tell me "tough sh*t" but if the Squirrels are OK with cancelling the trade, I would be very appreciative!

• So lets say I have $10 in cap space........I have to stay in the draft till the very end. This past draft I stayed until I got the 2 players I wanted then I was done. Situations like this are why the Yahoo system is superior in the way it drafts for absent owners. I enjoy the league, the guys are competitive but the slow ass draft has to be improved.

• I agree with Walker...I can see missing a nomination or 2 throughout the whole draft, but missing every one the whole night is rough to take. Hopefully by next year the programming gets better and fixes some of the flaws.
